I made a post about my blind run, and lots of people were interested. So here's a small update… a year later… Sorry about that lol
I defeated the Eye of Cthulhu, Queen Bee, King Slime, and Skeletron. Also goblin invasion, and Tim. Tim seemed like an important character, for the lore or something. I was hiding while my bee minions killed him so idk.
The corruption can be cured with purification powder. I also exploded 3 or 4 shadow orbs. I suspect them as the source of corruption. I couldn't find any more of them. I check the NPC often to see if it spreads, but it's stuck at 8%. I don't know if it never spreads or if I've stopped it. The NPC's dialogue sounds to me like it's implying that it spreads and I gotta save us.
I'm convinced there's an infinite amount of items. They overwhelm me at times, but it's not a bad thing. Adds sort of a strategy element. My next goal on my mind was to decide on a set, or build, if that's what it's called.
The bosses I beat were, dare I say, easy once I got full platinum armor, some lucky weapon drops from here and there, and life crystal maxxing. So I can only imagine how hard it's gonna get.
I've been ignoring the guide recently after realising there are a LOT of other NPCs, but I'll get back to him since my progression has slowed down a bit.
I want to say, I absolutely LOVE this game. Going in blind was a thing I wanted to try. I was a little worried that it would be hard. It is hard yeah, I might be missing out on lots, but I'm enjoying every second of my playthrough.
