Even after all this time, many of us still find it difficult to pull ourselves away from Stardew Valley with developer Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone constantly pulling us back in with new updates.
If you are looking for a change of pace though, you’ll perhaps find that in Delverium which finally launches in early access next month.
Sagestone Games has confirmed that after a mammoth 80,000 wishlishts, Delverium will arrive in early access via PC storefront Steam on 22 September.
Delverium lands in what is a totally stacked month with Marvel’s Wolverine, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Control Resonant, Silent Hill: Townfall, Minecraft Dungeons II, and Onimusha: Way of the Sword also all arriving.
If you enjoy Stardew Valley’s graphics and general life sim formula, you’ll definitely get a kick out of what Delverium has to offer.
At the end of the day though, this isn’t a carbon copy; it’s an entirely different kettle of fish.
Delverium also infuses itself with survival elements akin to what you might find in the likes of Valheim.

The game’s enormous procedurally-generated world can be explored alone or via multiplayer – which supports up to eight players.
“Gather resources, build shelters, tend your farm, recruit NPC’s, craft items or take on high risk dungeon crawling as you delve into the unknown,” the synopsis begins.
“Be warned: Only the most courageous hero can uncover the secrets to Delverium. Could this be you?”

Delverium boasts one of the most stacked casts you’ll find in gaming in 2026
As you can perhaps see, you’ll need to craft weapons and armour for those dungeons as well as farming and harvesting tools.
The more shelters you build, the more NPCs will join your colony. Building a colony is important because it widens your trading options as every NPC will boast their own unique wares.
In those dungeons, you’ll explore “exotic biomes” and “hidden caves” as you mine ore, extract materials, unearth treasures, and fend off foes.
Outside of that, there’s plenty of time to unwind as you grow crops, breed animals, catch fish, and forage alongside other wholesome activities.
The narrative concerns something known as ‘faults’. These mysterious ‘faults’ can be found within caves and reveal the truth behind Delverium.
While this is an indie project, Delverium boasts a cast stronger than most AAAs. Where it got the budget from I don’t know.
Delverium’s cast includes Ben Starr, Jennifer English, Matthew Mercer, Doug Cockle, Nick Apostolides, Abubakar Salim, and more.
“Delverium began as a passion project for my family and me to play together due to our shared love of co-op gaming,” says primary developer Scott Lowther in a press release.
“With the help of a supportive community, Delverium has continued to grow into something special and we are excited to share our Early Access release date.
“We sincerely hope players appreciate the care and love that have gone into development and help us continue to shape Delverium’s future.”
