so, the problem with the cultist is it feels INCREDIBLY underwhelming. and i supposed that's fair, it is a bridge between golem and the final boss. it shouldn't be hard, but i'm saying it should be special.
right now, the cultist cannot be farmed/rekilled and immediately summons true pillars. but i think that's kind of boring.
what i think is that the cultist should be rekillable. this would allow it to have unique drops (the arc surge would have been a PERFECT drop for the cultist imo.) just like most of the other bosses do.
the first summon should be free, with the cultists worshipping an already "activated" symbol. ill explain how it becomes activated otherwise:
the way this should happen is that post-golem, the dungeon will start spawning rare "worshipper" enemies. these would work in a similar way to the dark caster and diabolist, being mage-like skeleton, but this one featuring lightning attacks like the cultist does. this enemy should have a 100% chance to drop an item, the "blood sacrifice" item. (tooltip: a part of an otherworldly creature, icon could be like, a finger or something lol)
this item could then be used near a deactivated tablet (cult worshippers AND tablet will be always there but the cult worshippers will be dormant and invulnerable until the tablet is activated, then they will start actually bowing and praising the symbol.)
once they are praising, you can then kill them to call the cultist to come and spawn naturally.
this also comes to my point to change how the pillars arrive. i don't think the cultists kill should summon them. instead i think cultist kill should charge the symbol in the dungeon (now glowing red instead of yellow) that can then be activated via right click to summon the pillars.
just a silly idea, i think this would be nice
