EA Community Managers are already teasing up the next Sims 4 Update!
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten news about the next The Sims 4 Update. Today there’s an official confirmation from an EA Community Manager, stating that the next update “is an update alright”, rather than just a bug-fixes release.
Community Manager Cade also confirmed the general focus of Sims 4 improvements for the first half of may. Confirming that we’re already on track to see improvements for Infants, Toddlers and General Sim Autonomy. The feedback for these were collected weeks ago in the linked Discord Feedback discussions, and it seems we’re already getting the final product release in May 2026.
The Community Manager noted that we’re first getting a Laundry List “in very early may”, shortly after which you should expect this Update to drop.
Here are all the messages about the next Sims 4 Update shared in the official Sims Discord channel:
Question: i doubt you can answer it, but is the base-game update an update or is it just bug-fixes
EA Community Manager: Oh it’s an update alright, but you’ll need to wait for the Laundry List to drop for more than that
Infants, Toddlers, and general Sim autonomy are the focuses of our upcoming Base Game update in May. Watch for the Laundry List in very early May.
Statement: i’ve had a few of the bug reports i’ve commented on get updated with “fix coming” or however it’s worded
EA Community Manager: That’s great! “Upcoming Fix” is our last stop in the life of a bug before we release an update to resolve them.
Ongoing Work
We’re currently in final testing for a fix for the Secret Witness sentiment issue and expect it to be included in our Base Game update in May. We’re also wrapping up work on resolving reports of the Scandal icon not dismissing properly, which is likewise targeted for the May update.
Thanks for your patience while we worked through these!
The first Sims 4 Laundry List is expected for “very early May”, after which we can expect the new Sims 4 Patch to drop 7 days afterwards.
