Exciting news for those eagerly waiting to play Loftia! The Steam Next Fest is coming up, and Loftia is among many of the games releasing a demo for it! So, if you’ve been unsure about whether or not Loftia is your cup of tea, you won’t have to wait much longer to check it out!
What is Loftia?
Loftia is a highly anticipated cozy, online multiplayer game set in the sky. In this game, you can craft, decorate, farm, and explore the world alongside your friends! You can all live on a floating island together and customize it to your liking! And this game has a lot of customization, between the diverse, detailed character creation and the variety in the build/decorating mode. The possibilities are endless!

What is the Steam Next Fest? 
Steam Next Fest
The Steam Next Fest is one of many events hosted by Steam. The event is held 3 times a year (in February, June, and October) and lasts for 7 days. During this event, many upcoming games release free demos for people to check out and get an idea of what the actual games will be like. It’s a great way to try out a game without fully committing and spending money, and it’s highly recommended that you do so.
The actual length of the demos is determined by the game devs, so some demos may be shorter or longer than others. Just something to keep in mind.
When Can We Play?
From 10 am PT on October 19th until 10 am PT on October 26th, the Loftia demo will be available to play on Steam. After the Next Fest has ended, the demo may or may not be closed until it releases in Early Access on November 3rd, 2026.
But fear not! The Loftia team has confirmed that any progress you make in the demo will be carried over to the official game, so you don’t have to worry about restarting. There’s currently no information about how long the Loftia demo will be, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as more information is revealed.

To celebrate the Steam Next Fest, Loftia has announced some in-game items you can earn while playing the demo, including a demo banner and a cute little mouse chair (or “Pebble Couch,” as they called it). I don’t know about you, but that chair is a must-have. I mean, are you kidding? Look at its little face! Who can say no to that?
Want some extra goodies? Make sure to pre-register for Loftia now, and you can earn some pre-registration rewards, including a “Steam Hat,” an “Early Loftian T-shirt,” and the “Early Bird pet outfit” for your pet duck!

Once again, Loftia will release in Early Access on November 3rd, 2026. Early access means that the game isn’t quite finished. So, expect bugs and multiple updates along the way. We look forward to seeing what Loftia has in store!
