Progression skipping is HARD in Calamity! Have you tried it before?
OP Videos
I love making big videos on our main channel like the OP series and ‘Can You Beat Terraria’ but one thing I’m starting to notice is some information gets repeated a lot (like crafting the Terraspark boots). Most classes use Terraspark boots, they’re a fantastic accessory that early in the game.
I still need to mention them in each video but I’m mindful of repeating the same info everytime (and showing the same footage) as the process is always the same so I’d love your input on what I should do for grindy/repeated stuff in the OP series:
– Show it everytime
– Show a little bit of it (or show different bits in each video)
– Make a joke/reference to it but mostly skip it
– Another idea? (leave a comment)

remember happy, blazing star stealth strike not only deals more damage and throws 3, it also pierces infinitely
I'd say for showing terraspark boots, it would be cool if you did a little montage of you opening chests/ buying items / picking up items needed for them then a sped up version of the crafting or a montage of the crafting, that way it would take under 10 seconds of video time but still be acknowledged
Hey happy, will you be sacrificing mobility for damage? It could be very interesting to see.
Is it me or is something happening with the Cryogen music? It seemed to kind of stutter/pause. I'm not sure how to describe it.

The Zoom out is perfect for Boss fights only. As it gives more of a spectacle to the fight itself.

Happy! Look at your mods you have Fargo's mutant you can make the city buster bomb ( This destroys a HUGE area ) It's very useful for building a arena underground! Here is a cookie for good luck : 🍪
Fairy boots might actually be better than terraspark boots

For terraspark boots, you could briefly mention it and it's long recipe. and other items like moon charm. but really simple items like shark tooth necklace are easy to take at face value
Cracking the Cryptic does a lot of repeat content, as they primarily show Sudoku, and give the same explanation of things every video. There may be a way for you to template the info a bit more and use that, potentially in a montage.
Hey happy! What are the milestones? Pre boss, prehardmode, pre-mechs(?), pre golem(?), etc.
Items like boots, wings, shields you can categorize in General items, no need for crafting tree details unless necessary… Rest class based items focus more on the details. I guess that's a way to go at it.
I forget which one, but in one of your OP vids you mention "I've been slowly gathering all the pieces for the ankh shield" which i think is perfect for explaining away repetitions grinding but also just mention any unique troubles for the class.

Once you get the fruits that boost your health you should switch to the classic hp style.
There's something ironic about talking in text about repeating information in videos only for you to repeat exactly that in speech like 10-15 seconds later, lol.
Happy! You can move all your meters around in the mod config! You have to unlock the meter positions so you can move them and lock them again after so they dont fly around during the fight!
The terraspark overlay is great! Go on and use that!

Hello Happy! I think you could try the "Compare Item Stats" mod. It's a very simple mod that will show if an item has better damage, it also works on wings it shows its flying speed, horizontal speed, acceleration etc. It's very useful on choosing what wings to use.
You can unlock the stealth bar in the mod config and move it
Happy You should fish-up hardmode crates. They still drop their respective ores even though the progression has been changed.
