Do you ever get a sense of deja vu? Like you’ve seen this exact challenge run before…
I remember my first playthrough being mediumcore (miserable). The next time I played a few months after my first playthrough I felt so stupid. I didn't know classic existed haha.
I honestly would of just cheesed the solar eclipse that happened to you by leaving the game and opening the world repeatedly til i get the doors blockaded lol
I did a classic mode mediumcore playthrough and I died in the vortex pillar

My first time playing terraria was mediumcore, I regretted it and quit the world before WoF
how tf is mediumcore harder? you respawn, in Hardcore you dont

Im ngl I have always thought that Skeletron Prime was the Easiest mech for some reason and I always fight him first
I’ve always wondered why I was okay with dropping my items in Minecraft but in Terraria I never let that happen.
In Minecraft, you can always make a plan. There’s always something you can do unless your items were burned up.
In Terraria, if you drop everything, and can’t make a pickaxe, it’s over. It’s just over. You need multiple load outs in medium core because the world is not only difficult to traverse on its own but it gets harder the more you progress.
Something about dropping all your items in Terraria is just so much more heartbreaking than Minecraft.

Im not gonna waste my time with watching this to then get your twisted explanation why Mediumcore is harder than hardcore. If you die in Mediumcore you have a chance to keep going, sure it can be difficult to get your stuff back but you can obviously take precautions and make a backup chest. But if you die in Hardcore you lost so how would that be easier than Mediumcore? -thats my thought whats probably your mindset on why its more difficult, which it isnt.
I already knew this the hardest difficulty due to coming from minecraft initially, besides hardcore can be circumvented with some cleaver file tinkering. I recommend softcore only to new players even if they come from minecraft too; while the despawning is significantly more generous in terraria, the enemies get dangerous deceptively quickly.
But the lunar invasion is still my favorite event, even on master mode lol.
