I think Terraria players often speed run the game to Moonlord and never take their time on their worlds. I want to change that. So, over the course of a year I will be playing on this world with each stage of progression being blocked until the start of a new month. Listed below are the progression locks I’ll be facing on this journey and come next December we’ll finally defeat Moonlord!

next year start a map on calamity mod for a one year map
Don't place too many ballista sentries, they do piercing damage. Try mixing it with explosive sentry, also place clinger staff and nimbus rod on each side.
I play summoner so much that I never have had trouble with the Old One's Army. But I can see why it would get overwhelming. The spawns on the final round really should go down when Betsy is out. It just would make sense. Also I find having the balista staff, fireburst staff, and Lightning staff helps. I know the later two don't do as much damage but they work so much quicker that it really helps keep the spawns down. Especially if you put the lightning right over the portals.

Best Strategy I've found for the Old Ones Army is melee with Terra Blade, and Explosive Traps. Put the traps as close to the portals as you can, and pack them as tightly as you can. Only thing you really need to worry about is the flying enemies which the Terra Blade handles just fine

Bro, you have too many utility accessories and basically no damage accessories, you need those, more so in master mode, you basically have 1 good mage accessory and another one that is replaceable. Get a mage emblem from the wall of flesh, and upgrade it , and use both and its gonna feel so much better.
My very first world in Terraria (when 1.4 came out) I spent 450 hours on that world.
Had a big desert temple build, giant ice palace, castle at spawn and a nice build for the other pylons to get the princess npc. Also got the universal pylon.
Made a fishing house for ever quest fish and 4 enemy farms that covered snow, jungle, hallow – snow, jungle, crimson – desert, jungle, hallow – desert, jungle, crimson.
I crafted terraspark boots, most the hard mode armors for each class, ankh shield and zenith.
I think you would enjoy Mod of Redemption and The Stars Above. They are my absolute favorite mods, but I've never seen anyone play them
