Imagine getting it on 5th of first spring because fishing…
Well….
I got two prismatic shards on my first run through the skull caverns, so, of course, I gave one to Gunther and placed the other in storage at the time because I wasn't sure what to do with it, and money was fine, so I didn't succumb to selling to client/shipping bin for money
I was very lucky with the dino eggs because I got one from fishing and another from an artifact, not on the same game day: mind you.
But within 2 in-game days.
So no? I guess the "I know this has a use I'll need this later" mindset helped?

I got a Prismatic Shard and Dino Egg on the same day, gave me both to Gunther. I managed to get another of each a couple days later so I’m not too upset about it.

As a harvest moon vet my first instinct was to hatch it..which turned out to be correct.
But I'll never finish the CC, to get to.the dessert. I just got my first shard yesterday. I'm half way through my first winter, and it will take at least one more year for me to get everything.
As someone who hasn't even gotten past lvl 10. I see this as a win (someone please give me tips the mines are killing me)
I found a Dino egg early in my first play through and gave it to Gunther, atleast i didn’t do this with the prismatic shard but still, it hurts
Honestly, if you get dumb lucky in spring 1 and get a prismatic shard I see no issue in donating it since it’ll still take a while on an average playthrough to get to the desert where you can use it. Plus then you don’t have to worry about getting one to donate.

I got my first ostrich egg and put it in a chest. I later realized I could incubate it and get ostriches in my barn. My farm was very unorganized with many chests(I am organized now though) and I could not find my ostrich egg. I later realized while on the beach, I put it in the luau soup earlier that year.
I found 2 of each at the same time
I found a prismatic shard and checked the wiki about what can I do with it and I gave it to Gunther. 😩 I should have kept it since now I need it to finish bundle and open Movie theatre! 🙈 grrrr
Bro, on my first world, i got a prismatic shard on the FIRST WEEK, i was fishing and suddenly got it. But i was to stupid and donated that, because i thought it was normal

Honestly, I heard how amazing the prismatic shards are and was disappointed that they wouldn’t give me detail because I had to “go to Gunther” so I said: “FUCK IT” and kept my prismatic shards. So far, I only have two and I’m in year 4. I definitely plan on using one of them to get that Galaxy sword!!!! 🗡️🌌
