Hi Lex! If i remember correctly the stars on the calendar are for the new desert festival. So once you unlock the desert the festival symbol will come up on your calendar. As for useful mods I would recommend "look up anything" which lets you hit F1 on literally anything in the game (including the community center items in your inventory UI) which is super duper helpful!!!! For example, if you look up one of the community center fish it will tell you what season, time, and any special weather required to catch it! I am loving this play through! Hope this is helpful!
