  1. I generally craft one basic sprinkler and use it to water a flower to get better honey. My choice to wait for quality sprinklers for most crops is basically an aesthetic one – I just don't like the layout of basic sprinklers. But I do feel that it's easy and quick enough to get to where I can make the quality sprinklers that the wait isn't bad. I'm just not a true min-maxer; this is just how I have the most fun.

  2. Regular sprinklers are perfectly acceptable and extremely handy early game, especially for us strawberry lovers who can't exactly afford to spend nearly 200-300 energy daily (about only 125 strawberries), and having full energy for half a season and hitting level 7-8 farming in spring for spending about 30 copper and iron bars sounds like a great deal
