On Bedrock, for a villager to link properly with a workstation he has to be in the bounding box of a village. The village will then assign him a workstation. To create a village bounding box, you have to place a bed near the villager for the villager to link to.
I used to have issues with my trading halls scrambling at night until I started adding a small room with a few beds and a handful of nitwits to all my designs.
Edit: I'm assuming this is an optimization trick, but villagers linking to workstations in the order they were placed instead of the closest one to them is one of my least favorite parts of working with villagers in Bedrock.
very happy with the cartographer changes, this system of triangulation will make exploration a process of stops, resupply's, and treasure hunting that will be very engaging; especially in comparison to current exploration which mostly consists of aimless tired wandering
Why even include the part where you are in the older version? You knew you were in the wrong version but still included it in the video
1:21 Seed of Hermitcraft 11 confirmed.
Do you know what I would add is that bartering would give you a chance of getting a map to both the fortress and bastions.
Microsoft Store is the worst store of any stores to download ANYTHING 😭
Agree with the other comments about the colourful sheep – it’s not hard to find a flower to dye the sheep, it’s odd to have the bright colours wandering the land.
I think I would've preferred that we could still get access to all of the normal wool colors of sheep in any of the biome climates, but just have certain colors have a higher preference in each biome climate.
Like, in this current implementation, some of the wool colors are completely off limits in certain biomes, like the cold biomes lacking white and brown sheep entirely, while temperate completely lacking black sheep, which isn't a change I like.

I really wish they would add a lava bucket to the wandering traders trades… it would be so awesome to have natural progression in a sky block world
I'm liking these changes but I'm still confused by no saddle recipe still as I find it dumb to lock it to loot when by the time your ready to explore currently its after the end so you can fly
A little disappointed we're not getting different sheep variants. I was hoping for more distinct variations of the head (big horns or something).
Hey, idk if you know but it is possible to access Minecraft bedrocks files. You simply gotta go to your “windowsapp” folder if you’re on windows and search for the minecraftwindowsapp folder. You then check the resource and behavior folders
"but it wasn't working" is just the average bedrock experience
nice new sheep "variants"
brown sheep
in sandy biomes
Making villages in bedrock is kind of a pain in my experience. Unless you're extremely diligent about lighting and going to sleep as soon as the sun sets, your villagers will all be killed within a few in-game days or weeks. They also have trouble pathfinding to their beds and tend to use their workbenches through walls, even with the most basic house designs. And if you use barrels for decoration, most of your villagers will be fishermen. I've tried multiple times to populate a village I've built and they've become ghost towns every time.
I am not a fan of the wild colorful sheep, I'd much prefer new models for cold and warm biomes. I am a big mojang supporter, but I feel a bit confused by this decision. Hopefully they add new models later on.
I like reusing sheep colors instead of biome variants for sheep. Keeps it simple, which is important for not wasting developer resources that could better be spent elsewhere. The colorful ones should probably be bumped down to rare though. Uncommon colors seem to be way too common for blue, red, and teal sheep wandering around.
For the future, you can see your game version right at the top of the screen or on the home menu.
I have a SUPER old world on Switch that has a shipwreck like this at 7:26 😊
Is this just for bedrock or for java too?
i feel like the rare colour could be blue or red instead of pink in the warm/cold biomes
– light blue / orange are fine-ish, but i would personally prefer without
This update is such a small but great gift
You didn’t cover the librarians book trades
woooooow new sheep…
could you please give the worlds seed?
Hey Xisuma, do you mind sharing the seed of that world? That is some nice terrain generation!
bedrock's UI looks sooo bad, its like those phone's for old people
the sheep change is kinda silly, imho
Improv villager better that’s a really good fix for Minecraft villagers
The sheep changes need to be reverted, it's not good at all.
minecraft is a mess these days
