I mean its not a bad feature, it would actually be a cool addition if they added a hotkey to toggle it on or off so you switch between xp and locator
honestly really like the locator feature, the progress really is not needed if the actual level shows up. But the other ideas are not bad either.
would be better if they add the Player Locator to the top of the screen a bit lowered in the pause and other button

some people in the comments thinks that this removed the xp bar it seems like they did not finish the video.
1. It's not removed it just overlayed on top of it and it woul re appear when xp is consumed
2. There's still a chance that this may change it's a snapshot

i think change is good, mojang have been doing the bare minimum for so long, it's good that they are now taking risks in an attempt to improve the game. I think if we start hating on this feature just because it's new would only make us hypocrites. We have been asking them to do more haven't we.

As someone who constantly has problems with people stealing my stuff in multiplayer servers whenever i base close to people I hate the player locater there should be a option in settings that makes you invisible to it
The "paper doll" might just be the third person preview seen in bedrock edition.

Easiest solution is to just show player direction and xp progress at the same time
I. Will. Not. Touch. Minecraft. Anymore. If. They. Add. This. In. Game. Minecraft has changed, TOO FRICKING MUCH FOR ME TO LOVE IT ANYMORE. At least you are smart enough to make it toggle. You’ve added variants of animals, cactus flowers and some bags that we can use shulker boxes to replace easily. These are all easily accessible if you add a simple mod to your game. Pale garden? Dark oak recolored + moss recolored and that’s it. Deep dark and dungeons? We players that have old world needs to find thousands if not millions of blocks away just to get to the correct new biomes, and the chance to find a itty bitty one, maybe not even the ancient city. And what’s the use of trials if we have everything we need and want?
This is not the Minecraft that i used to know anymore.
Please tell me the TNT sound in the absence of explosions is in-game and not added in post-production 😂
