My SECOND YEAR in Stardew Valley 1.6!

hello everyone my name is Lumi and today we are completing our second year in Stardw Valley 1.6 We had a very fun and successful first year but didn’t get to explore everything 1.6 had to offer So I decided to do just that and play another full year And let me tell you we sure did explore a lot If you haven’t seen our first year go ahead and give that video a watch But make sure to come back here right after because I had some exciting new goals for our second year in the valley Firstly I managed to open the mastery cave last year but this year I wanted to achieve mastery in every single skill Then I wanted to crit a child Yeah 1.6 has baby upy crits so that means I’ll need to upgrade my house fully reach 14 hearts with our beautiful blood wife and finally get lucky and have a baby I also wanted to fully complete Ginger Island getting all of the golden walnuts and opening Mr Cheese’s little secret room And finally I wanted to complete as many perfection criterias as possible From cooking every item to shipping every item to even maybe buying every single obelisk And you know what i’ll get ambitious I want that damn golden clock too But for now I won’t waste your time anymore Let’s begin year two Oh and like you should subscribe or something I don’t know Let’s go For some reason our year started on spring 6th I woke up on Ginger Island dazed and confused Maybe I went on a 5-day bender But it’s more likely that I decided to play a few days for funsies After I completed my first year I realized I had plenty of gold to spare So my first objective was getting that house upgrade There’s no baby making if we don’t have a crib to put said baby I headed back to the valley to grind some hardwood and picked up the gifts for George special board quests along the way As soon as I got to the farm I gifted my baby girl Just a little returning home gift I promise I was just out getting some milk On my way to the secret woods the raccoon was requesting potato juice and pickled carrot nasty but I definitely keep that in mind The day was really just spent chopping hardwood both in the valley and back over at Ginger Island which I realized while aimlessly chopping trees we had a ton of things to do on On the morning of spring 7 I upgraded two of my chests into big chests because I was sort of running out of space Then collected a ton of wine that would definitely make us some money overnight I also decided that I’d been hard slacking on these tool upgrades I should have made upgrading tools a goal in itself because I just never do it So as I was cracking some geodess I turned in my pickaxe for an upgrade which would be my very first aridium tool And then it was back to the hardwood grind As I was chopping away I got a little notification at the bottom of my screen telling me I gained a new level of understanding which meant I reached a mastery level this damn quick So I headed to the mastery cave and decided to start with combat mastery There’s a whole new slot on your farmer where you can put trinkets you find after reaching combat mastery There’s a ton that have very cool and fun effects so I wanted those On top of that we now had the recipe for a mini forge so we can enchant tools from anywhere without having to go all the way to the volcano mines for that forge For the next 2 days I did some questing and resource grinding specifically because I picked up Robin’s resource rush request Oh my god that’s a damn mouthful Which required 1,000 pieces of wood I also finally let this professor dude out of the cave learned about the wizard’s crazy wife and said yes begrudgingly to my wife because I like when she yells at me Put me in that doghouse Haley Please I finished Robin’s quest on the 9th and also on that same day I scooped up my arian pickaxe and sent in my hole for an upgrade Look at me upgrading my tools and [ __ ] On spring 10 I finally had enough hardwood to upgrade my house And when doing so I realized that I’m stupid because I didn’t need 200 hardwood I only needed 100 Yay at least I had extra hard wood but I then headed over to the desert to pick up my oak resin and also buy some more starfruit seeds I may have bought 300 seeds and that may have been overkill but it’s completely fine After collecting the oak resin I made more kegs with it but I was also super low on ore so I mined at Ginger Island for the night which gave me my very first trinket I got me a little parrot egg It gives me a chance to find some gold as I slay monsters in the mines Not my favorite of the trinkets but exciting nonetheless The 11th was boring Just more matte farming tool upgrading blah blah blah But the 12th different story I gave the raccoon his pickled carrot and potato juice And in return he gave me some fairy dust Directly after that I was being a little trash goblin and out pops a trash catalog with all the dirty nasty trash furniture Woohoo The different story I was talking about was literally just the trash catalog That was the highlight of this day I mean yeah I planted a couple of things including some of the stuff for the little froggy man on Ginger Island but I made my island house look like Shane’s room Isn’t that exciting anyways the next day my house was upgraded which obviously means it was baby making time I gifted Haley in the hopes of buttering her up for tonight and of course slid directly over into the egg festival I dumped what felt like my entire life savings worth of gold on strawberry seeds I bought 500 of them and obviously stepped up to the plate to beat Abigail for the second year in a row in the egg hunt I watched as Mayor Lewis counted down the fire in my eyes burning stronger as the number got closer to one and set off on a mission to pummel this little purple-haired creep into submission until I realized the eggs changed their spots My normal route was dry I had no idea about this but in 1.6 6 There are now two different patterns the eggs will appear in depending on if you’re an even or an odd year So this was an entirely new layout for me I genuinely was frantically searching for a decent path and ended up losing to Abigail The last time this happened to me was in like 2020 What is going on i went home in a terrible state of depression I don’t even think I planned anything I just prepped a little bit and took my ass to bed On a brighter note even though every prideful bone in my body was shattered by the purple-haired wannabe adventure lady spring 14th was a baby girl’s birthday I gave her a gift and a smooch So it was almost like two gifts from God And the random rhubarbs that were on my farm presumably from the five missing days were ready So the strawberry planting would go swimmingly I spent the entire day planting them having 153 left over for year three maybe I don’t know Also the egg festival depression had subsided because spring 15 began the desert festival It would be my very first time actually playing this event as opposed to just looking at it So I was hyped It lasts for 3 days and your entire purpose of going is to collect as many Calico eggs as humanly possible to get a variety of rewards The town’s people even come and sell things of their own that you can buy with calico eggs I don’t think I’ve ever said this in my 22 years of living almost 23 but I was praying Penny would be a vendor at some point She has these cute little moon and star decals that you can only get if you marry the [ __ ] And we all know that’s not happening But with the new desert festival she sells them at her shop if you’re lucky enough to get her as a merchant In the morning I said hello to the dwarf purchasing a ton of bombs as well as the dwarfish safety manual It lessens the damage bombs do to you so that would be super helpful Then I collected some salmon berries while waiting for the festival to open and headed over to start my grind I ate this random rumple silken fruit thing from the strange chef guy and allowed Emily to style me for the day When 1.6 first came out I messed around with the festival and Emily gave me some rank outfits So needless to say I was nervous but it was actually really cute She even matched my hat I got quizzed on some starter trivia by the creepy man in the corner and actually managed to answer the questions right being awarded some calico eggs The final thing I did before taking on the Skull Caverns was buy this wallpaper from Jazz It was really cute No penny today but there’s always tomorrow I spent the day farming calico eggs getting a whole bunch of random buffs and debuffs from these cat statues At some point any food I ate was half as effective And because it wasn’t a great luck day I got more debuffs like that than I did buffs But whatever The next day as I was getting ready for the desert festival I realized my oak resin would be ready And then that made me realize my trees in the desert my beautiful trees and my tappers would they be gone i just prayed that that wasn’t the case and started my festival run by grabbing some food buffs from the weird chef guy Unfortunately no penny again But like I said yesterday there’s always tomorrow I also grabbed a new Emily outfit but I hated this one so I put on yesterday’s and just dumped the other one into the river where I saw my cute little wife tanning Look at her I had also forgotten about this cactus guy where you get a funky new cactus every single day Look how damn silly this is And finally what we’ve all been waiting for the race I bet on Shoe Biscuit over here and locked in ready for my pick to win No he literally lost Always tomorrow I’m not mad And finally we descended into the caverns which I have to say was much more successful than yesterday’s run I got not one not two but three new trinkets while down there I chose to stick with the fairy because one it was cute and two it healed me during combat so in my opinion it was the most useful of the bunch Plus I reached another mastery level Admittedly I thought grinding the mastery points would be a lot harder But I seem to be progressing pretty well I got a bunch of calico eggs from my run grabbing some mystery boxes and lucky lunches for our final festival day before calling it an early night and heading to sleep For our final day I drove over early to get the absolute most out of the day Starting with my Emily outfit and she dressed me like a trash can But you know what she’s right I’ll wear it as a badge of honor I also needed to make sure that I bet on the right racer at least once in my life I spoke to this shady little dude to give one of the racers a disadvantage I’m playing dirty but sometimes it’s necessary I bet all the marbles on Kingst He took an early lead and shortly after almost got passed by the damn snail But in the end my boy won winning me 30 calico eggs And of course the one time I actually want Penny I just didn’t get her The universe did not want me to have my moon decals Probably karma for hating on this girl all the time but maybe I’m just unlucky Our final day at the desert festival concluded with a Calico egg grind in the caverns Just like the previous two days I hit a monster floor and I was just not dealing with that So I left and got my rewards then went to the mastery cave This time I decided on farming mastery purely for the statue of blessings recipe When crafted every day the statue will give you a random perk from infinite energy to spawning a prismatic butterfly somewhere in the valley for you to find You can also find golden animal crackers which double an animals drops Plus you’re given the aridium scythe and I’m actually in love It allows you to harvest any crop which cuts down harvesting time tremendously The following day wasn’t too flashy I picked up my axe from Clint and sent in my watering can then decided walking was infuriating and bought a horse table I also almost had all the materials I needed to craft the statue of blessings just missing a bit of fiber so I collected some and immediately crafted it I popped it right next to my bed It was both pretty and functional What more could you ask for on the morning of spring 19 I made a few more kegs but the shed layout was genuinely driving me insane So I decided to wait until all of my wine was ready so I could both fix this monstrosity and place my newly made kegs And did y’all remember I was on the Melance farm because I sure didn’t I just wanted the new experience but not the gameplay it called for Regardless I bought more pigs at Marne’s and picked up the new animal catalog book It made Marne’s shop available even when she wasn’t at the counter which seemed like all the damn time Since I had crafted one of my new machines I really wanted to craft the mini forge The problem was I needed dragon teeth So off to the volcano we go First I went to the actual forge to do some enchanting specifically looking for crusader on my sword Unfortunately I got it on my third try running out of cinder shards so I couldn’t enchant anything else just yet When exploring the volcano mines I uh forgot my watering can was sitting in Clint’s shop right now So like I couldn’t cross the lava so no dragon teeth no more cinder shard grinding I did however get enough for a single enchantment which I luckily used to get master on my fishing rod My horse table was ready on spring 20 Hello

But that was about it for the day’s triumphs because it was Shane’s birthday so I was forced against my will to gift him I did also gift the wizard since I wanted to start building friendship with him And even though my watering can was ready I had quite possibly the worst volcano mines day in history I barely got anything every single layout absolutely sucked We’re just going to move on swiftly The next morning I hiked my ass back to the valley where I found the final leak I needed for Evelyn’s quest Before dropping those off some of my strawberries were ready so I used my handy little aridium scythe to collect them and even upgraded my barn at Robins since I knew I’d be rolling in money for my strawberry harvest Then you guessed it back to Ginger Island I was missing a ton of golden walnuts and we all know the task and a half it is collecting those things It can be tedious and I’m incredibly lazy If only we had something to help with that Oh we do 1.6 added some Georgia additions to Ginger Island including this little golden parrot You can now buy your way to walnut completion I normally avoid succumbing to capitalism but 750k gold that’s maybe doable mayhaps All I’m saying is I would definitely keep the Joja parrot in mind My statue of blessings gave me infinite energy for the day so I was chilling in the volcano mines It was unfortunately another lousy day but still better than yesterday since I found a singular dragon tooth Yay I warped back to the ballet to sleep next to my pretty wife because I missed her yesterday Apparently she missed me too because she asked me if I wanted to adopt a baby Yes Haley Yes I really do I’m so excited to start a loving family with my wonderful wife Not just because I wanted to upycrit not at all On spring 22nd I received a coffee maker from Evelyn in the mail which was lovely And I gave my golden animal cracker to this random chicken named Melers The book seller was also in town so I bought this horse book off of him making my gojo a tad bit faster Another machine you received the recipe for with Combat Mastery is the anvil It allows you to reforge your trinkets giving different stats each time you reforge And my favorite trinket thus far my little fairy kind of sucked There’s five levels of the fairy trinket and I’m pretty sure mine was like level two To craft the anvil I needed 50 iron bars but I only had seven So the iron grind was imminent It lasted for 2 days just resetting floor over and over until I mentally couldn’t do it anymore On the bright side I reached another level of understanding on the second day Like I said this mastery stuff was easy peasy On spring 24 I smelted enough iron bars for the anvil I then rerolled my fairy trinket until I got the max possible level level five It costs three whole aridium bars per use but I think it’s pretty worth it since the buffs certain trinkets give you at their best are pretty damn nice That’s all I did in the morning because it was the day of the flower dance Last year my baby girl said “Ew no.” When I asked her to dance which is precisely the only reason I went this year I needed to dance with her which of course we did Look at us We’re so damn cute I brought myself to the mastery cave on spring 25th where I chose fishing mastery since the final legendary fish I needed had yet to be caught Fishing mastery awards you with the advanced aridium rod allowing you to equip two tackles instead of one It also gives you the recipe for challenge bait which yields three whole fish on a perfect catch However each time the fish escapes your bar you lose one If it escapes three times you just lose the fish entirely Hence the name Finally you now have a chance to find golden treasure chests which gives you a whole bunch of fun and rare treasures I went home and crafted a rain totem for tomorrow Since the legend only spawns in the rain and there weren’t a lot of days left in spring to bank on the small chance to get rain So as the rain pummeled down on me in spring 26th I sprinted over to the mountain lake Advanced Revidium rod in hand I cast the line First fish nada Second fish the legend Uh I caught it Well that was kind of anticlimactic so I just chilled at this fishing spot for a bit before trotting over to Ginger Island You see I had a sizable amount of gold on me Whatever will I do with it more barns and animals and stuff for my Metallands farm might suffice But who would buy animal stuff for an animal focused farm that’s just bogus I you know had enough to buy me all of the golden walnuts I did it Yeah yeah yeah to curse me all you want but if you’ve played this game enough you also would buy out the walnuts if you had the chance Morris basted in my hard earned gold during the night which pissed me off But at least I no longer have to hunt for walnuts The next day I bought the rest of the Ginger Island amenities with the walnuts I received and enter Mr Cheese’s secret walnut room which let’s pause for a second Comedian and podcaster Bobby Lee is a diehard Stardew fan who recently had Concerned Ape on his podcast where he confirmed the true pronunciation of this guy’s name Let me just roll the clip Okay that’s good Go ahead

Quei Mr Qui Nuh-uh Mr Chi will forever be Mr Chi to me or even Mr Cheese So before I get corrected by those of you who watch the pod I refuse to call him Mr Qui Moving on Surprisingly he didn’t roast me for buying my way in here so we can just forget it ever happened I chose to start off with the cheese cuisine quest which meant I needed to ship 100k worth of freshly cooked goods Simple enough Then I warped home with my new warp totem and hopped on the Calico Desert Bus which there it was My trees My beautiful trees I completely forgot about them if I’m being honest I’m really glad that the desert festival doesn’t destroy anything you place in the desert After confirming my oak resin was safe I crafted an Aridium band and warp back to Ginger Island to combine it with my burglar ring Also to hopefully get one last dragon tooth to craft the mini forge I didn’t have my watering can since I turned it back in that morning so I just prayed I wouldn’t have to make it across any lava I fortunately found a dragon tooth on the very first floor So I grabbed it and got the hell out of there I don’t need to be there any longer Finally I warped back to the valley to smelt some bars and craft my mini forge before heading off to bed to start the final day of spring In the morning I did my dailies and trotted over to Pierre’s If I hadn’t said it enough I’m lazy So I bought a ton of wheat flour to bake a ton of bread to then complete Mr Cheese Cuisine quest I’m not sure if this is the smartest way to do this quest I’m pretty sure you just lose a ton of money but it is the easiest way and that’s all that matters And since I was getting ready to have a baby I wanted to share the wealth and let my raccoon friends have another baby I headed to the mines to find some geodess and turn them into the raccoon where he gave me this giant fish tank in return I placed in my house and added a couple of fishies He after that I really wasn’t sure what to do Quite frankly I didn’t have too much of a direction the past few days A bunch of my initial goals were either completed or on their way to completion So that meant it was time to start working on perfection Thinking about working on perfection was draining Actually doing it on the other hand was kind of fun but I was not ready yet Regardless I went to the adventurers guild to check on my monster slayer goals I was honestly kind of close to becoming the monster slayer hero So to eve myself into perfection grinding I’d focus on completing these tasks first That would mostly be a summer thing But for the rest of the night I messed around in the mines to start getting those numbers down Then I went home and headed off to bed to start our second summer in the valley Happy summer everyone By now you must know the drill It’s bloops time I headed to Pierre’s and did what I needed to do I also bought a melon and a wheat seed for our Ginger Island froggy boy Then spent majority of the day planting them not forgetting to pick up my watering can and we started off our monster slayer grind strong the next day doing a little skull caverns run It was the first time since I got my crusader enchantment that I got to put it to use and it was feeling good There’s something so satisfying about killing these damn mummies As I was grinding the floors I managed to finish the mummy monster slayer goal on level 48 and even the rock crabs on level 74 I didn’t get too far down that day since I was more focused on killing the monsters I needed than actually farming mats or reaching record-breaking floors But I did my job and that’s what matters I finally fixed my shed bio on summer 3rd I just know that was bothering y’all because it was enraging me So I was now satisfied Also the universe wouldn’t shut up talking about your mango tree wasn’t able to grow last night so I did need to go check that out eventually But before boarding to the island I turned in my axe for an upgrade and stood outside of the adventurers guild to further check my progress and scoop up my rewards I still had a bunch of goals to go so nothing has changed I also took Mayor Lewis’s crop order quest since he was requesting the shipment of 100 blueberries and I’d literally already be doing that Then like always to Ginger Island I got the unfortunate view of Harvey’s chicken legs and couldn’t help but stop and stare at the quite possibly deadly sight Then moved on to the walnut room I had a few cheese gems from the quest I did the other day but I wanted to save up for the horse flute Probably my favorite item in the entire game so I took another quest One that was definitely not my favorite The cheese kindness quest prompts you to give 50 loved gifts in one week The quest is really not that hard and only takes at most 2 days but I mean it’s annoying Setting up the gifts finding the people that you need wasting two precious days which is what I did Waste summer fourth and fifth gifting these ungrateful towns people And on the second day Clint pissed me the hell off because he was the last person I needed to gift and he was busy being an oven roast on Ginger Island talking about his toenails So I went home to grab something for Cropus instead should have been the little shadow man in the first place I don’t even know what I was doing But since I was there I bought this stray star drop I never bought and even grabbed the dark talisman I didn’t have my sword on me so the bugs were chasing me But I got out of there in one piece Summer 6 off the bat I knew it was going to be a great day because bam luck blessing and bam already luck day So obviously the only correct thing to do would be another Skull Caverns run I ate the magic rock candy I had gotten at the desert festival and popped a little monster musk in hopes of making even more progress on my monster slayer goals And let me tell you that extra luck boost from the statue of blessings was working overtime with one treasure floor two treasure floors and three treasure floors in a row The only thing worth was an auto grabber but still insane nonetheless I also got some new little trinkets The basilisk which makes you immune to debuffs and the ice rod that occasionally freezes enemies They’re both pretty nice but my fairy will not be overtaken The cherry on top occurred on floor 90 where I reached another level of understanding leaving just one level of mastery to go after I claimed my prizes but I didn’t go to the mastery cave just yet On summer 7th I made a few more lightning rods in the morning since it was storming up in the valley and battery packs were few and far between on this farm The traveling cart that day also had this Junimo catalog and I mean come on For the mushroom lamps alone I had to buy it The grade didn’t stop there because after taking a pit stop to stare at Haley in her bikini I purchased the horse flute from Mr Chi we instead of doing anything productive obviously redecorated my house a little bit with our new Junuan catalog for the rest of the night What I didn’t know was that my freshly decorated house was in preparation for a new baby boy during the night I named him Orange Peel because literally what else would I name him and all I had left to do was crit him throw him in the air Then on summer 8 it was time to head to the mastery cave I chose mining mastery instead of foraging purely because I was working on my monster slayer goals You get an increase in gems with mining mastery But the more interesting part it also gave you the recipe for the dwarf king statue Much like the statue of blessings this little guy gives you a random buff related to mining every day But unlike the statue of blessings you actually get to choose between two options meaning you can cater your buffs to whatever need suits you for that particular day I crafted my statue and chose a greater chance to find coal since I was kind of running low on it Then headed to the mines for you guessed it monster slaying It was a good day So I was able to finish slaying both the skeletons and doggies so I was pretty satisfied But on my way home I can’t begin to describe the horror I witnessed I didn’t think it would come back to haunt me but that big ass giant possum thing ran right past me this time What the hell is this concerned ape to add this monstrosity it is so horrifying I just went to bed because no ma’am get the hell out of my cozy game you rat The next day was a miracle because my greenhouse was ready for me A bunch of starf fruit done A bunch of ancient fruit also done I was able to fill it entirely with ancient fruit meaning the grind has been complete and I no longer have to pop them in the seed maker It was just straight money at this point In celebration I sent my last tool in for upgrade my little watering can While I was at Clint’s I cracked open a few geodess and mystery boxes where I found an oified blade No joke I have never seen this thing in my life but it is so damn cool looking I switched the appearance of my galaxy sword to this oified thing and slay some void spirits in style Honestly the next couple of days were sort of dull Just kind of filled with monster slayer goal farming But as always there were a few highlights On summer 10 I got a frog egg This thing just munches on monsters But I wasn’t sure if my frog swallowing things counted towards my goals so I benched him for now Summer 11 Luau me Summer 12 the booksheller visited the valley where I bought a book of stars just for some XP for that remaining mastery level and the Queen of Sauce cookbook which was just really nice instead of waiting to obtain every single recipe you get from the TV The cookbook just gives you the rest of the recipes you don’t have making perfection much more obtainable earlier on in the game I also finished up our void spirit goal that day meaning my remaining slayer goals would involve work in Ginger Island and the skull caverns So on summer 13th I did a caverns run Back to our regularly scheduled programming The next day my blubes were ready to go and I was running out of keg space so it was time to begin our quarry keg empire We crafted some of them and cleaned up the space a tad bit just to accommodate them I guess I was feeling rich since I also made more crystalariums for the farm This poor raccoon and his 48 children had been waiting on me to give them a ghost fish I also hadn’t fished in the longest time so this should be interesting We trotted along to the mines and spent a little time looking for the ghost fish Fishing in Stardew is apparently like riding a bike Since I did not struggle with the fishies handing that bad boy into the raccoon and bam he gave me a starrop tea I would have to think long and hard about who to give that prized possession to Now in the morning green rain had descended upon the valley So my only logical plan was to farm a ton of moss for the entire day until my eyes began to bleed I took only two pit stops One to offer my freshly brewed startup tea to the wizard I guess I didn’t have to think long and hard about that one And the second to pick up Willy’s tropical fish quest from the special board I also guess that ghost fish inspired me to become a better woman by actually playing my number one ignored mechanic in this game I fished for said fishies on summer 16th But before I began and as soon as I landed on Ginger Island I noticed all of my crops for the frog man were completed So naturally as any semi-normal human would do I went to turn in that quest But that’s when I realized I literally didn’t need to do all of that When I sold my soul for the golden walnuts this quest was just automatically completed for me And that might have been common sense to all of you but apparently I did not get that memo Granted it wasn’t entirely a waste since I’d need to sell these items for perfection but it did highlight my stupidity which I was not happy about Regardless I happily fish on the island finished that quest and picked up another one The cheese prismatic range I just never get a break do I you might say that it’s self-inflicted but I don’t know Shut up I’ll be real here I’m just straight up going to skip summer 17 because I don’t want to relive that traumatic experience I popped a monster musk in the volcano mines Let’s just leave it at that And at some point I found a dragon tooth club I’m pretty sure it was on the forbidden day I just spoke about but on summer 18th not so forbidden day I enchanted that thing with artful and a ton of emeralds So now it’s just insane I tested it out in the skull caverns Those serpents stood no chance against this club since I had finished the serpent skull And drum roll please it tipped me over into completing my final level of mastery Super quickly I sprinted to the cave and claimed foraging mastery feeling grandpa’s hand patting my shoulder from heaven Now foraging mastery is top tier in terms of efficiency and profit purely because of these mystic tree seeds that you obtain the recipe for Yeah yeah you can find golden mystery boxes But the mystic syrup the new trees produce is very useful First you can just straight up sell them making a nice 1k gold with the base price and 1250 with the tapper profession You’ll produce them every 3 days if you have heavy tappers So I’m not going to do the math because that’ll be an embarrassing attempt But you can make some nice passive gold on these things Then you can exchange them from the raccoon’s wife for fairy dust Imagine how quickly you can age wine if you were able to plant a ton of mystic seeds and maybe even have fairy roses growing on the side I’ll stop my yap because you get the point But I love me some mystic syrup So it was time to craft some mystery tree seeds on summer 19th I had plenty of tree seeds for crafting but my big problem was mahogany seeds The raccoon lady did sell a mahogany seeds in exchange for coal So I went to Clint to buy some except he left I don’t think I’m okay I did have enough coal for three mystic seeds but that’s obviously not enough I replaced some of my trees anyway and fertilized them And at some point went to Robins to upgrade my farm cuz you know animal farm Then since Clint decided he was too good to sell to me I did the work myself and grinded coal in the mines where I found my first golden mystery box I cracked it in the morning before going to my second Trout Derby which I got to be honest was kind of god awful The first day my rewards were terrible And the second day I went all out It was an Aridian luck day I had a luck blessing I had two whole lucky lunches to eat And on top of everything I decided it was time to finally get the lucky charm You’d think after all of that we’d be swimming in riches but we got all the way to 6:00 p.m where I finally got my first golden tag It took us all damn day I had enough So I decided to have some fun with it I went home and crafted some challenge bait And I said I wanted to have some fun with it But all I learned was that I suck at everything Good godamn night I guess grandpa felt my pain from yesterday because he gave me a gift from God My child was grown the next morning I sat there throwing our little orange peel until he crit Upies upies and away I am now satisfied since we completed our arguably most important goal of year two Since God was generous we decided to be generous and gifted around as well as completed some quests for the rest of the day I also forgot to upgrade my trash can so I started doing that We’re skipping summer 23 because I was yawning throughout the entire day So I picked up and turned back in my trash can on summer 24 then visited Ginger Island just to check out the Mr Chi quests where I chose the cheese hungry challenge My fairy lady is so useful in the mines that I don’t even really need to eat anyway so I figured it would be easy peasy And that it was I had my fairy on top of the dwarf blessing that gives me complete immunity to bombs I literally finished the challenge by 5:30 and continued downward slaying all the monsters in my way which ended up completing the dino monster slayer goal I literally only needed to kill some more magma sprites to become the monster slayer hero So that would definitely be a tomorrow thing But before we dove into the volcano the book seller came to visit I had a ton of books that I could trade in And honestly the trade-ins are kind of worth it If you’re done with mastery there’s no reason to use your books for XP So save them and trade them I got some fairy dust a sizable amount of wood and some pepper poppers I also bought the slither legs and price catalog books just to add to my power Then it was time to become the hero of the valley We entered the volcano mines with one mission in mind Slay the sprites No mercy I only needed to kill six So our climactic ending wasn’t quite as climactic as it should have been But we finished our monster slayer goals getting that much closer to perfection and the next few days were really just spent making my life easier I moved a ton of buildings so I could finally make me a little chest area Transferred all of my stuff over to it and decorating it to my heart’s content Oh and I finally got the prismatic butterfly blessing for my statue on the 27th So we went hunting and found it as soon as I left my farm Kind of sad because I wanted to go on the hunt but at least I got a ton of money But the only thing I wanted to complete my chest area with some blue grass So before I got the starter on our final day of summer I made some little heavy furnaces and painted my buildings at Robins buying a new shed for funsies I was then ready to go to the island but I couldn’t go to the beach because of the damn moonlight jellies festival So unfortunately I had to craft an island totem but I guess it was worth it for the recipe But I don’t really know what I expected because I learned that blueg grass starter requires mystic syrup to craft and the amount of those trees I had was lacking I was forced to swallow my pride and go to Clint again to buy some coal He was even mocking me Bro was like “Too lazy to mine your own whore?” Yeah but at least I’m not too low life to get a damn wife you rat Whatever I bought the seeds I needed and crafted more mystic tree seeds before heading off to bed to start our second fall in the valley [Music] Hello it’s fall Do I actually have to tell you what I did all day the answer is yeah probably But you should know We planted cranberries And that’s literally it Next I’ve been giving pretty much everyone gifts on their birthdays And today was quite possibly the worst one Penny’s birthday I delayed gifting her for quite some time by transferring my crystallariums to my new shed then smelting ore to get some more I even gifted the wizard first then gifted the witch I swear I almost puked To cleanse my hands I picked up the Willy’s bug meat quest cuz collecting bug meat sounds much better than gifting Penny And I actually managed to finish it that day getting a lovely cow decal from the prize machine Yay On fall 3 I decided that Ginger Island needed some work since I also needed some money But first I purchased a [ __ ] ton of stone from Robin and crafted even more cryarium so I could fill up my shed Then it was to Ginger Island where my second ancient fruit empire would slowly grow The next morning I crit the baby again He and headed straight back to Ginger Island again I was due for another chi quest and finally got the option for the Skull Caverns invasion You know all the crazy monsters and stuff I didn’t do it just yet because I was scared and wanted to wait for a good luck day So instead I wanted to try out a new method for getting mahogany seeds since I noticed that the desert trader traded them for stingrays I went to the pirate cave and caught one because I realized that it was a horrific idea There’s no way I’d be able to get a sizable amount of seeds by fishing one stingray every 3 to five business days So it was just back to coal farming for the rest of the night For fifth and sixth I had better luck days So I attempted the cheat quest I picked up I started late on the fifth and made it down pretty far but not quite to level 100 as the quest required So like I said I tried again the next day with a lot more time on my hands And guess what i made it down to level 100 with a not a lot of time to spare But what matters is I did it Also I got my first little Mystic Syrup that morning which was fun I didn’t know what I wanted to do with it just yet so I put it away for safekeeping My little orange peel aged up the next day I barely even realized I walked to Clint to pick up my final tool upgrade my Aridium trash can Actually my final tool upgrade this time And no don’t even talk to me about the pan Who in their right mind actually uses the pan the rest of the day was just kind of full of chores like finally turning in my jades for staircases since I’d been hoarding them and enchanting a few of my tools There were however a few new things that were also chores but new chores At Ginger Island I bought one single galaxy soul and the recipe for heavy tappers which I added to my sword and then crafted some new tappers along with even more kegs to add to the quarry Finally I ended with farming some copper in the mines And as a little bonus I found a yellow frog egg He’s so cute I was actually obsessed with these mystic seeds because thereafter I farmed coal for 3 days straight I made one blue grass starter with my mystic syrup on fall 8th which many would consider a waste But I just wanted to decorate So obviously I needed a lot more syrup hence the coal farming But on the 10th I realized I had an astronomical amount of uncracked geodess and that could be a gold mine of coal or just a coal mine I don’t know I didn’t have the geode crusher So I had to crack them manually at Clint’s It shut off like seven years of my life doing this to the point where I just got bored and bought a bunch of coal instead Planting more of those blue guys After that I just had enough of coal farming and I picked up the dark talisman a while ago but never finished off the quest So I did that by fishing up a void mayo and scaring off the henchmen unlocking the witch’s hut Oh and I picked up a bone quest at some point which I started and finished the very next day I’m just like that I also at some point upgraded my house I didn’t even write it in my notes but I certainly did it since I added some wine to my cellar and emptied my pond to add a sturgeon for caviar We’re 11 days into fall and I feel like I did absolutely nothing So it was finally time to begin another aspect of perfection I finished those Monster Slayer goals in summer and took a teeny tiny break So I was ready For some unholy reason I thought what is the worst possible thing I could choose to work on next cooking I chose cooking I had to unleash my inner chef Kaspacho and actually lock in on cooking every single recipe in the game As you’ll know from my baking videos I’m not very good at it But the game itself would be a lot different I spent like 3 hours writing my very own list of every single ingredient I need as well as how to get every single recipe I didn’t have yet For the most part I just needed to raise friendship with a ton of people to unlock those recipes which I began doing the following day when I noticed the cheese gifts quest was ready for me You see to cook every single recipe by the end of the year I needed to cop Pierre’s missing stock list which makes every season seeds available at all times And like I said I needed to raise friendship and gain chi gems from completion was just perfect It took me the next 2 days and I did gain a ton of friendship but it wasn’t quite enough to afford the missing stock list But it was Sy’s birthday on fall 15th And while I just formally met her like 3 days ago I still gave her a lovely gift Also buying some seeds I needed from her And while doing so I noticed I had so much gold Definitely enough for an obelisk or two I always like to start off with the Ginger Island obelisk purely because it’s the most useful So my day was spent grinding on Ginger Island where I took up the cheese skull caverns invasion quest again bought the ginger ale recipe and went dragon tooth hunting I only managed to get two during my volcano mines trip but I already had three meaning I only needed five more and some time to wait for my banana trees to grow But grind time took a pause for my favorite festival the Stardew Valley Fair But I swear to God my favorite mechanic in the game the wheel riggery no longer works If you don’t know there’s a slightly higher chance for the wheel to land on green So you basically just bet green on it constantly At least there was a higher chance for the wheel to land on green because I was getting orange left and right I don’t know if you guys have experienced this but let me know because I’m convinced this exploit no longer works I got most of the rewards regardless except the hay I don’t need any hay Not like I’m on an animal farm Anyways on the 17th we continued to grind starting with the caverns run for my quest And let me tell you I did so good that day First of all I made it down to level 149 crushing the level 100 cap Second of all I got a ton of aridium and radioactive ore and two galaxy souls in a slime I genuinely had no idea you could find those in the mines but I did I found them I did end up passing out because I was too lazy to go home but it was a great day regardless and I would definitely put some of those goodies to use the very next day but I had a few things to do before Firstly it was Marne’s birthday so I gave her a little something And finally I got Caroline’s special order quest the one where you get solar panel for completing it Small problem though She wanted pineapples Usually it’s like ginger or tarot root but my unlucky ass got pineapples I wasn’t sure if I would be able to grow 100 of them but I tried anyway There were already a few pineapples ready on the island farm so I shipped those and traded for some more seeds at the desert trader planting them with deluxe speed grow I needed them pronto And before going to bed I also crafted a few more heavy tappers since the radioactive ore I had smelted was ready On fall 19th I headed back to the island to spend my chi gems Obviously I picked up the missing stock list and the recipe for magic bait just so I can catch any of the out of season fish I might have needed Then immediately returned to Pierre buying every single seed I was missing to get to cooking My greenhouse was occupied so I planted all of it on the extra space I had on my island farm Once again finishing off the planting sesh with some deluxe speed grow After I did a little modest volcano mines grunt where I only got a singular dragon tooth I don’t know why I expected more But to curb my depression I finally remembered to bring enough diamonds to buy the diamond hunter book from the cave dwarf trader which gives you a chance to find diamonds when mining stone Lastly holy I do a lot of things in a single day I remembered I had those galaxy souls from the other day so I forged them to max out my Infinity Blade before heading off to bed Since all I had to do now for my cooking ventures was wait for crops to grow I had a little fun starting by turning my school caverns into challenge mode This makes it so my caverns transform into hard caverns during the night I also bought another fish pond at Robins I know shocker but only because you can now put legendary fish inside to get row and I at least wanted to put them to use somehow I also got three more dragon teeth across the 20th and 21st meaning I just needed one more for the island obelisk So anyways on the 22nd like I said my minds were transformed I went on a massive skull caverns run and holy it was a new personal best for this farm reaching a whopping level 158 and getting a ton of materials in the process It may not be fun for most of you I know y’all be struggling in the mines but it was fun for me on fall 23rd I got to find more ways to introduce these days My ponder is ready and I at some point edit my legend to it We also got back to business and scoured the volcano mines for our final dragon tooth which I got it and got the hell out of there I know I said the caverns is fun but the volcano mines has been and will always be my worst nightmare Unfortunately we were still waiting on my bananas which mind you felt like it was taking forever So I couldn’t craft the island totem just yet We put that on pause to work some more on perfection The next day I needed a couple of fishies for cooking So I used some radioactive ore to craft magic bait and went to fishing We caught a largemouth bass carp midnight carp an eel some sardines a rainbow trout a sunfish and some salmon leaving only squid and tuna left which can just be caught in winter So I wasn’t really worried Oh plus the crab pot stuff But again not too worried cuz that was easy peasy to do Since I’d mostly been saving for my island obelisk I managed to make enough gold for two obelles maybe even three if I wasn’t saving a mill So I decided to buy me a mountain obelisk just for funsies Then I hiked myself back to the island If only I could have bought the correct obelisk to cease my long travels But anyway my pineapples were ready So I shipped them to complete Caroline’s quest tomorrow and harvested some of the crops I planted for cooking I then took cheese extended family quest since I’d been fishing the day prior and was in the mood to absolutely suck at something I would love to say that I’m good at fishing and that I caught the Legend 2 first try but like its name I caught it second try I’m depressed since I had a few days to complete it I spent the rest of the night trying to catch more Legend Twos since they sell for some nice gold I only caught three cuz like I said I suck But the time was still well spent The fishing adventures continued the next day I started with a Glacier Fish Jr because it was probably the most annoying one I ended up fumbling it like 4,000 times but eventually caught that horrific thing But after that the day went pretty smoothly cuz I first tried the rest of them Miss Angler bam Son of the Crimson Fish Ye and Radioactive Garp I could have spent some time fishing a few more Legend Twos but I was tired so it was bedtime My final two days of fall were a bit of a snoozefest since I was just kind of prepping for winter I wanted to try to get a ton of powdermelon seeds which you can exchange at the raccoon for pine cones So I tried to farm those but obviously ended up just getting a lot more wood than I did seeds I didn’t even go to the damn Spirits Eve Festival Then I just fully gave up on fall 28th The powdermelon grind was worthless Instead I just bought a ton of starfruit seeds to plant on Ginger Island while we wait for our ancient fruit to grow Finally I rested my tired little eyes to begin our final month of year 2 [Music] Happy winter I awoke in a fantastic mood because one it was Crobas’ birthday and two baby girl was looking cute in her winter outfit I couldn’t resist giving her the biggest smooch Then it was time to go to work I didn’t have a big planting day like I typically do each season but I planted the powdermelons that I did end up collecting and headed out into the world First and foremost gifting our little shadowman I also picked up Clint’s quest to slay 50 grubs just to give me something to do And that it did cuz I just chilled in the mines for the rest of the night slaying grubs here and there until I eventually just passed out In the morning on winter 2 I made a heinous change I felt like a criminal even thinking about doing it We all know I hate crab pots but having a couple is essential for both perfection and now for fulfilling the raccoon’s requests So to make collecting the things I needed much easier I changed my fishing profession just for the time being so I didn’t have to constantly refill the crab pods with bait I apologize to you all my mother and father and most importantly Jesus I made as many crab pods as humanly possible the next day dividing them amongst the river and the beach But honestly that’s the only thing notable about that day And the only thing notable about winter 4th was buying a water obelisk so I could check up on my crab bots much easier I have to say also I feel like I’m rolling in riches copying two of the four obellesks way before the year was over I’ve been efficient And speaking of efficient I decided to designate every Friday of winter as gift day Maybe even Sundays but at least every Friday I was about to have everything I needed to become chef Gaspacho All that was missing was a few friendship recipes So this day was vital I gifted these ungrateful sacks and made my way over to Ginger Island to check on a few things Noticing my banana trees were grown It would take a few days to get all the bananas I needed but it meant that my island oplesque was just on the horizon Winter 7th was kind of funsies It started off by gifting Mama Caroline for her birthday I’d never forget about that angel Then I was craving a caverns run I’d been hoarding staircases just trading in my jades and stuffing the stairs back in a chest So I low-key just staircased all the way down to level 100 to begin my run And it was a pretty solid run I got plenty of materials and even made it down another 100 levels where I noticed that level 200 gives you two chests Not just one two of them I might actually be crazy but has this always been a thing i swear this didn’t exist before 1.6 but like I said I might be losing my mind I said winter 7th was fun but winter 8 was fun and eventful It was the festival of the ice but I had no strong urges to pummel Willie into submission so he just ignored the festival I chose Robin’s hardwood quest from the special board because we were about to get a star drop tea from the prize machine Then I needed to give my boy Leo but the festival was an issue because Willy’s house was locked so I had to craft an island totem but worth it for the little bird boy Also worth it because I’d finally gotten enough bananas to craft the island obelisk so I wouldn’t have to craft warp totems anymore I went the little sneaky way back to the wizard house so I could avoid the festival and purchased my island totem making that three out of four obelisks I’m incredible I also went back the sneaky way after a bit so I could fish up a void salmon I’ve been collecting some things for the movie theater and the void salmon was the final piece of the puzzle and I nojo caught it my first try That was really easy Then turned in all my goodies to the secret bundle I’ll speedrun the rest of my tasks because like I said eventful day I crafted crystalariums replaced my sturgeon pond with the mutant carp crafted some kegs and used my island warp so I could go to sleep in paradise That’s it I also did that so I could start my robin hardwood grind the next day over at Ginger Island I got every single piece of hardwood on that damn island but it wasn’t quite enough So next task I apparently was missing a singular sardine plus one tuna that I needed in my cooking chests which obviously I just got Easy peasy meaning winter 9th marked the day that I had all of the ingredients I needed Well technically I was missing two ingredients but they were people I only had Kent and Leo left to get up to seven hearts and Kent was pretty low But thankfully I collected the rest of the hardwood on winter 10th so I could gift him a little star drop tea But either way I was rightfully impatient which made me begin cooking my food on winter 11th I took my sweet ass time because I just wanted to do it all in order just so I didn’t miss anything and didn’t have to scour through the recipes to find what I did miss But it was kind of good that I was impatient and got a head start because I found out I was missing three recipes Obviously the Kent and Leo recipes but apparently one from the island trader so I would go to get that at some point Afterwards I did a little crafting some solar panels I was so excited to get them but completely forgot to craft them And more bluegrass starter I then made a necessary investment I bought the wizard catalog I really should have been saving for my last obelisk but I needed to eventually decorate the damn house which I spent the next morning doing starting with my room All this new furniture makes me happy I then went ahead and bought the recipe I was missing the banana pudding and wrote another list of things that I needed to ship for perfection We went to Pierre’s on winter 13th to buy all the crops I hadn’t shipped which I probably should have done the first time around We all can’t be perfect I planted them in that empty space on Ginger Island and after the fact bought some more starf fruit Should have done it before but you know the deal Also reading my notes back all the way up until this point I realized I descended into chaos cuz I’m going from cooking to shipping I made a damn list for crafting Wrote down three of the fish I was missing Did you guys know there was a new fish what the hell is a gobby i found out what the hell a gobby was on the 14th You have to fish in the waterfalls which you can do at the bottom of the forest Look at that hat I also had enough of the desert obelisk so I obviously bought that immediately which meant I had bought every single obelisk Woohoo And then I quickly caught a slime jack an ice pip rounding up my fishing catching A lot of ends to errors this day which was very exciting Oh one more thing I also finally got the ostrich can’t say that word egg on Ginger Island which started my next venture I got the egg because I needed to ship it but I also wanted an ostrich and had to craft the ostrich incubator for crafting perfection Holy ostrich So I needed to finish the field office collection I began on winter 16th spending the day collecting most of the bones I needed leaving only some snake vertebraes and a fossilized tail which kind of had to be a tomorrow thing because on the 17th I had an idea Could I craft the new treasure totems then use them on the Ginger Island beach to find some snake vertebraes and the answer was yeah it worked This actually saved so much time especially since the fossilized tail would probably take forever to find You can only find it by panning in the river And since I detest the pan I have yet to upgrade it I headed to the dig site and waited for a pan spot to show up Clicked on it and oh fossilized tail Well I got the incubator recipe With that I only had two recipes left to get One of them being the tub of flowers which isn’t possible this year because I needed to get it at the flower dance But the other the deluxe scarecrow recipe I just needed to buy the rare crow from the dwarf which I did super quickly Then the rare crow from the casino which I also unlocked super quickly I immediately went gambling the next day needing 10k chips to buy my final rare crow I mindlessly pressed 100 on the slots over and over and over again until my brain almost exploded And when it was at that point I decided to play some high roller calico Jack to get me to 10k With some luck it actually worked I bought my rare crow and went on home slowly but surely crafting every single recipe in the game besides the tub of flowers and the deluxe scarecrow which I’d get any day now And since I’d been moving quite rapidly on the grind I raised all the way up to 70% of perfection So I thought let’s keep going My last star drop belonged to Mr Gunther in the museum and I only had a couple of artifacts and geodess left to complete the collection So we headed to the desert to trade my plethora of geodess for treasure troves Oh and obviously a butterfly hutch because I needed it eventually I didn’t have time to go to Clint’s that day so I went home and placed my butterfly hutch decorating around it a little bit Clint also wasn’t in the next day so I had to wait some more to crack my damn treasure trots Anyway some of my crops were ready to ship so I harvested those and shipped them Then I bought the catalog from Pierre to continue decorating my house Look how damn pretty my house looks The only room left was my kids’ room which I’ll get to eventually On winter 20th my deluxe scarecrow recipe was delivered in the mail So I crafted that thing Basically finishing crafting perfection That damn tub of flowers does not count Then it was the glints to crack my troves We’re looking for a tipped vase a rusty spoon and a golden relic which hello I got every single one I only needed to go to the desert to get my final artifact But I also needed one more mineral so I cracked some magma geodess until I got my Dolomite obtaining my final starrop thereafter I’m so proud Finally we went home and decorated the final room in my house making this cute little kitty room On the morning of winter 21st I made a couple of kegs to continue expanding the quarry I also gifted Leo finally tipping him over to seven hearts He was the last one so we get our final recipe tomorrow I then headed to the quarry to place my kegs also placing down paths between the rows because I was tired of getting stuck on rocks every time I went to collect my wine I did a bunch of other boring crap until I didn’t know what else to do So we went to sleep And at this point I had essentially completed all of my goals for the year I even forgot I had goals but we were missing one the Junimo hut So we’d work on that today But first I got the mango sticky rice recipe in the mail from Leo marking my final recipe cooked I’ve reached my final form Chef Lumi Gpacho I actually no joke was really proud of myself because I do not like cooking And technically this was only the second time I ever had cooked all of the starv recipes Real life next That’s a joke by the way I also only needed to sell an ostrich egg for shipping completion because my tea leaves were ready that day But I didn’t want to give up my only egg for the sake of early shipping completion since I still needed 10 million damn gold for the clock Some of my star fruit was also ready which was perfect if I wanted to snatch the junimal hut I sold and kegged the excess collected a little bit of fiber and bought my Junimal hut to say hello before sleep time I gave them a little prismatic shard so they’d be rainbow whenever they decided to show themselves For the past few days it’s been all work So I decided to have a little bit of fun And my supposed idea of fun was playing Junimo Kart Except I got to level two and failed Then I made it to level two again failed Then one more time and I accidentally backed out of the game Yeah no On to winter 24th It was finally a good luck day and I had accumulated an astronomical amount of staircases So I decided to see exactly how far down I could make it that day I popped a magic rock candy for extra luck then got to work Level 100 crushed Level 200 absolutely crushed Level 300 I slurped up my three chests and level 400 just so I could say I actually did it There’s nothing more exciting to tell about that day I got a ton of treasure floors with unfortunately not a lot of things that I wanted But I made it down to level 400 All right give me a break I think the 25th was the first festival I actually went to in a pretty long time I liked my secret friend Mr Gus so I had to take a gander at the festivities Like look at my hay and my orange peel So damn cute And speaking of oranges I gave Gus one and of course he loved it That was when I found out my baby girl was my secret giftgiver and it was perfect because she gave me a tea set I love her For the next two days I can’t even believe I forgot this I decorated my ginger island house I wanted to keep the little island vibes So the witchy book situation was not going to cut it It turned out pretty cute but not as cute as my actual house And finally winter 28th of year 2 I’d spent all this time collecting things for my movie theater and I hadn’t even gone to see a movie So as I was on my way to pick up some tickets I stumbled into my wife’s charity cakewalk I don’t know why I haven’t seen this yet but it was cute Unskippable but cute Of course I bought the movie ticket for my blonde girly and spent some time gifting the villagers as a little partying gift Oh and I bought another cat because why the hell not after adopting my kitty it was time for our movie This heathen was in front of the crane game so I couldn’t win like a teddy bear for Haley But at least I bought her a nice little snack a Star Drop Sorbet We cuddled in the theater loving the movie and loving our snacks Only the best for my wife Finally I did a couple of chores then just headed off to bed to end our second year in Stardew Valley Oh and spoiler for year three Grandpa was so proud And that’s it Thank you all so much for
