I think of the summoner analog of the zenith being the Terraprisma so maybe have other types of things like that for the last two classes where it’s not necessarily a crafting tree but some other unique and super challenging way to obtain, wether before or after moonlord.
The inferno fork is a great post 1 mech mage weapon from the underworld in hm, works well for twins and plantera. Though I do agree, giving hell more content, more enemies and drops, and even a side boss similar to eol and duke would be great, maybe a smaller terrarian like boss similar to the cultist. For the zenith weapons, I think the hardest part is that swords are easier to reprrsent a pinnacle with due to their synomynity with power in fiction, and the ease in representing multiple weapons in a boomeranglike melee weapon. Mage is workable, having it be a gauntlet that summons many shards by your side that shoot out different projectiles and lasers would be it. Imo the terraprisma is the zentih of summoner in its ai, power and design,(it already can outdamage zenith btw) though if there was an even stronger zenith summon make it have both a ranged and melee attack like the cell staff, where it shoots a slashe then blinks in and cuts up at the tagged enemy, inflicting a spatial tear dot or something on the ranged cut like the cell staff with the melee attacks that follow just being the zeniths but with a bit more visual flare. Would further widen the st dps gap between summoner and the other classes if such a summon were to be added, but itd be cool. Rangers zenith would certainly be the weakest link, itll likely end up being a a mix of the celebration mk2, sdmg snd phantasm, shooting primarily bullets, accompanied by homing rockets, arrows and darts. Would be cool to see, but nothing much fancier than if the vortex beater shot out extra ammo types on top of its rockets.
Wrong they did add ONE piece of post hardmode content…. the single most annoying enemy in the game. Genuinely feels like personally hates YOU. I am ofc talking about the red devil. Not only is it a damage sponge but if you get hit by its unstunnable tridents, thats half your health gone in a second.
As for the hell being useless after hardmode I don’t think it really is a big deal we have other biome and minibiomes that don’t get anything added in when you enter hardmode like granite at least the underworld has a use in soul farming and Red Devils. As for post moon lord content that’s a hard no with the expedition of a zenith for every class and a boss rush is fine because it not real comment but beside that it a hard no there’s a reason why he’s had the final boss he meant to be the final challenge this weapons and armour are ment as a bonus for fun.
I understand the zenith for maybe mage but I feel like summoner would just not work. Also a zenith for every single class would feel wayyy to repetitive and unoriginal idk but that’s just me.
I agree with everything except the underworld, I usually think of the underworld as a sort of bridge into hardmode, staying relatively the same the entire game. Meaning that if you are able to get into hardmode but can’t survive above ground, you can go to the underworld to get more gear as it’s the same rough difficulty
Similar to Minecraft, I think they want you to modify it. I mean, yeah, I'm pretty sure they even said themselves. They're not gonna do any major updates, because, well, they kind of don't need to like I said, hmm, mods have done a lot like, hell. I'm pretty sure the creators of the game even mentioned their most popular one calamity
Tbh. Thats why i use mods. A mod i found that is amazingly fun is You. It adds in a melee weapon, and you. Yes. You. Basically you fight yourself in an amazingly fun fight.
I think the zenith being only melee isn't really a bad thing. It's kind of a poetic weapon. The physical culmination of your journey through the world of terraria, and no matter what class you pick during the game, every single one of these begins with one item. The sword. The copper short sword. So it only makes sense for the summary of your journey to be a sword (also melee is probably the go to for most new players sooooo)
I think every class deserves a zenith equivalent they should honestly add 3 more identical zenith crafting trees for the zenith to make every class good even in post moonlord with the zenith
if they add other versions of the zenith id think itd be some other way than crafting everything into one weapon
just like how the terraprisma works and is almost as good as the zenith , we could have other weapons for the other 2 classes obtained in unique and interesting ways to make it feel more fresh and like every class has its "own way" of getting its unique weapon
The fact that there’s no summoner drops for the moon lord that are a whip that is a tentacle of his, and a true eye summon that shoots the lasers seems like such a missed opportunity
The Underworld barely changing when you progress through hard mode is actually a good thing, in my opinion. It allows for players to safely traverse without too many issues from hard mode enemies, at least before you beat any mech bosses and those Red Devils start spawning in…. Not to mention it’s a great way to farm souls of night and light.
I really like how they did post-game content in 1.2 Beating ocram a bunch to get all the final armor sets and weapons actually made it feel like you were getting stronger since ocram would fall quicker once you get the full armor set and weapons. My personal favorite was the dragon armor with vampire knives (they were still broken before 1.4) Also if y’all can deal with slight lag and a more primitive version, 3ds terraria still has ocram and all the 1.2 exclusive gear. Its definitely worth playing to experience all that cut content. Just beware or arch wyverns and moss hornets 😬
