Are These The Best Accessories In Terraria? #terraria
Terraria is full of amazing accessories, but which ones are actually the best? I think the biggest things to consider are the value of the accessory itself and how easy it is to obtain. With that being said, here are my three favorite accessories in Terraria. Number one, Hermes boots. This is always going to be my favorite accessory in the game. The first thing I do in every Terraria playthrough is look for Hermes boots because movement without them is so slow and boring. Number two, the shield of Cthulhu. I know some people think this is an overrated accessory, but I’ve always found it to be super useful. It makes every single boss in any difficulty game mode significantly easier, and there’s not really a better option for dashing until the very end of the game. Number three, the enk shield. The crafting tree for this thing is absurd, but it is worth it. This accessory provides immunity to 10 entire different debuffs. I don’t really need to explain why that’s super good because it’s obvious.

I love the Anhk shield
For me the best trio is, Hermes boots, Shied of cuthulu and Magiluminecence. Perfect until be replaced for soaring insignia.
I use golf cart + BoB and then witches broom or fishron mount for hardmode, shield of Cthulwho? Mounts are powerful, and free up so many slots otherwise used for movement.
Ankh shield is great but personally I prefer frozen shield
I always replace the shield of cthulu with master ninja gear because the doge chance and other effects are just better

Fr shield of chulu is good but im on cp its so hard to play terraria i feel like giving up using grapling hooks can literally go whenever but not at the thing you aim at
Ankh shield is so overrated. Sure back in 1.3 it was the shield to have but since the introduction of the Frozen shield it’s become needlessly long to craft. It’s good until you beat Plantera so, extremely overrated

My favorite accessory is the frozen shield, it's a paladins shield and a frozen turtle shell combined. While this isn't the easiest to get, it's still incredibly powerful, arguably better than the anhk shield.
For me 1 is soaring insignia, you can take off your boots and still be really fast with wings
2 is S.o.C dash is love dash is life
3 is Magiluminescense acceleration is goated
Tbh I think Ankh shield is less of a "Must have" and more of a "Why not"
Shield of Cthullu is the best accessory imo, not only can you instantly activate hermes boots with it but you can also negate contact damage whilst also gaining some distance. That item always carried me in every playtrough up until the Master Ninja Gear
honestly ankh shield isn't that bad to grind for imo, u can get 4/10 of the materials for the ankh charm in pre hardmode pretty easily and farming the rest isn't to hard especially with mob farms and shimmering, the only ive really found annoying to farm for was pocket mirror
The ankh shield is overrated, it’s a bunch of random debuffs that you rarely get besides going caving. It’s mainly good for no knockback, but you only need a cobalt shield for that

my favorite part of ankh shield is how so many of the debuffs it removes have more alternatives to them
no more poison? dont forget cursed flame
no more stoned? how about the freeze debuff from spiked ice slimes or the black recluse webbed debuff
at that point youre better off using the cobalt and thats it
The ankh shield is good, but I still think it’s kinda overrated.
i have a very wiered accessorie set up post plantera, i main summoner btw, i mainly use no dash, no boots and instead use the full flesh knuckle line and just use soaring insignia and wings and the tree mount that the spooky tree drops then the necromantic scroll line hope this helps ig lol
