Stardew Valley (#5) – unsubbin Streams
Oh, what’s up? Hope you’re doing well. This is like the third stream in a row that I’ve started by yawning. But uh I hope you’re doing well. Um welcome back to Stardew. Just give me a minute to get everything all set up. All right, let’s get it on. We just entered uh fall last stream. I got married, which was awesome. Um I think I capped out my fishing last time, too. So, we’ve been pretty productive. Got what? What the hell is this? Oh, I have to turn it into the winter’s just around the corner. We need to double check the heating system, turn off the valves, and turn and check all the insulation in the house. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it all. Appreciate that. Blackberry season. Okay, I got my farm all nice and set up here. Uh, I really only have to take care of this. Negative streaming start as well today, but too tired from work. I get you. All right. See, I can’t really make a full fence around here. So, the the I don’t really have enough of a gap. But I do want to upgrade maybe my axe. I should demand that Lionus gives me money for returning his uh basket. I’m going to be like just give You know what? I’m just going to keep it. You really just really beat on a man when he’s down. Messed up. All right. Um, yeah, if I’m if I ever want to get into the area where I catch the wood skip, I’m going to need to eventually upgrade my upgrade my axe. So, we’ll do that next. I also want to start saving up money so that I can finish off the 25,000 bundle. Um cuz as soon as I do that I think yeah I think as soon as I do that I get access to the bus. So that’ll be nice. The most efficient way to for me to get money right now is probably just to keep fishing. Need 80 hardwood. Okay, here we go. Tiger trout. Those are Let’s see. Fish tank, specialty fish, ocean fish, river fish, tiger trout. Yep. All right. So, it’s in the river. All right, let’s go for my steel X. done in a couple days. salmon. Okay. Catch 10 tiger trout. I should be able to do that in one day, honestly, if I’m if I’m focused. Oh, we got a fighter. Just another salmon, huh? Going to bother me. or salmon. Come on. If the tri if the tiger tout the tiger trout population really is as overwhelming as he says, I should not be having a hard time catching them. There we go. Did I manage my controller with one hand while I uh bring some water? There we go. Mhm. No, I swear the deluxe bait has a higher odds. Higher odds of giving me like garbage. Ah. All right, let’s just break this open now before I forget. Oh, that is fantastic. I thought they were called super sprinklers for some reason, but they’re not. They’re called normal. They’re called quality sprinklers. Oh, that’s so nice. Just the just having to maintain the farm is always one of my greater annoyances. But this way, I can continue leveling. Even though I don’t really care much about the farming, I could just go out and do other stuff. I already kind of have my farm all set up like I want though, so it’ll I’ll have to wait until um to use this until the next time I want to plant something. I think we have more of a salmon problem in this town than anything else. Oh man, what if the salmon are worth like a lot and I’ve just been getting really lucky. I don’t know. They seem very common. Ah. Oh, wait. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Okay. Bear statue. Mhm. Awesome. I’m kind of running low on energy, too. But luckily because of the star drop that I got, uh I I bumped up my energy a little bit more. I think by like 34 points if I remember right. It used to be like uh my maximum used to be 270 Ah, And the saloona like salad for energy. I only ever buy salad to uh give to Leah, which I don’t really need to do anymore since we’re already married. Maybe she’d still appreciate it, though. Maybe that’s how we bump up our uh relationship level past level 10. Just the UI changed. So I was I was confused. Yeah. Like it doesn’t it doesn’t say that there’s like a maximum amount of times I can do that. So maybe maybe I could just keep giving her salad and then she will appreciate it regardless. I don’t know. Um, can fish like a couple more times. Best to squeeze every little bit out of my day that I can. And we will do something else I think tomorrow. Maybe spend some time in the mines. I just don’t want to be fishing the whole time. I feel like that would get a little monotonous, even though it’s probably the most timeeffective way for me to get money. Oh. Ah, the light the way the lighting works in this game is really cool. Probably fish one more time before getting exhausted. I mean, I’ve never been super into optimizing games like this. since I don’t really at least for me it’s not that’s not really the point. It’s mostly just to relax. But I think subconsciously I do certain things anyway to optimize how I play. I feel like it’s kind of hard for me to casually play a game nowadays. I’m not like hardcore, but um I feel like it’s like if I want to devote time to playing a new game, if I want to devote time to playing a new game, I want to give it like my full attention. And sometimes I’m just not in the mood to like take in something new, you know? Sometimes I just want to play something I’ve already played before and kind of turn my brain off. Like I’ve been meaning to play Zelda Skyward Sword recently. See? Oh, wait. Hold on. I can turn that into something else. Put this uh put this row in here. I dropped some frames at some point. That’s Nope, no, no, no. I need that. This will be for tomorrow when I trade them in. All right. Nice. Yeah, the river jellies are actually worth a decent bit. They’re like 125 each. It’s fine. Not bad. Planted these in a little pot out back. Oh, I grew that with great love and attention. Enjoy it. I guess it probably takes a while that it’s all taken care of. Oh, is that a uh crayfish? Small freshwater relative of the lobster. So, I I had a uh when I was younger, I went to a summer camp at the nearest uh forest preserve and you know, we would go out into the woods and do a lot of camping type stuff and that sort of thing. Um we went out into the marsh at one point and I I was wearing I think I was wearing Crocs. Maybe I had taken them off. Um, but my my footwear was not appropriate because I didn’t want to get like my shoes dirty or anything. So, I was wearing maybe it was sandals or something. And uh I looked down. I didn’t even notice it happened until I looked down, but there was a crayfish like pinching onto my big toe and I started freaking out. I mean, I was a pretty sensitive kid like in most manners of speaking. Um, so I’m surprised that I didn’t uh notice it at first. Like, I started freaking out, of course, and then I was like, I don’t really know if I want to go further into the marsh today. All right, let’s head to the mines. I don’t know. That’s just a memory that kind of came to me. Oak resin, pine tar, maple syrup. I have to make like tappers for those, right? Um, where’s the tapper? wood and copper bar. Okay, let’s let’s get that set up. Here we go. Uh cuz I think Here we go. There’s one. I want to set it up on two different kinds of trees. Is that a mushroom? I can’t even chop it down. What the What the hell? All right. I I guess we got big mushrooms growing on our farm now. All right. Um, I think these are pine trees here. So, find an oak tree. I guess this is fine. I just have to remember not to cut those down. And then I can fill up this the exotic foraging bundle as soon as I get one of these three or two of them rather useless. Thank you. All right, let’s go to the mines. Start level 90. Maybe just work our way down. I don’t really need to mine at random stuff if I already know where the exit is. Might just be good for leveling, though. All right, I’m I’m over this level. Just get out of here. Hello. Yep. Double. Let’s go. Ah, God. Hate those guys. You’re just unrelenting eventually. I I mean, I don’t know how much it would go for. I’ve collected a lot of ore, probably more than I will ever necessarily need, even for like crafting projects and stuff, depending on what what the uh other buildings require. We’ll have to take a look. But um in terms of like gold ingots and iron ingots and stuff, I could maybe just start selling them. The aquamarine. Yeah. That was a void. essences are actually worth a decent amount. Oh man, I really would rather not die. Oh god, scared the [Â __Â ] out of me. My uh branding is kind of covering up the Nice. And you can’t eat the crab. Okay, just give me a little bit of health back. Have I found the exit yet? Next floor. I just I’m kind of low on health. All right. Nice thing about this is we can just go and skip a few levels. What is that? Is that a Is that just a a green slime? It’s a golden slime. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Oh god. Uhoh. All right. I think now is an appropriate time to leave. Still got so much energy left. All right, let’s go to the U um not like I can turn in any of my geodess right now. Oh crap. waddle in and I’m all bloodied and bruised. So quiet and peaceful in the evening. Nothing to distract you from the experience of living. Okay. Did I drop frames again? Whatever. All right. Nice. Then what do I need for the fall crops? Ooh, some foraging. I kind of want to set up camp around my like around the blacksmith shop just so I can Oh, fantastic. When I go searching in people’s trash cans, I’m not looking for trash. Make recycling she machine. Yeah, I’ll have to see what that um what materials I need for that. Okay, I should just hold on to this. Is the book seller still here? I I would be surprised. Yeah, no, he’s not. Okay. Um, okay. I’ll hold on to this for right now then because I think I can trade it in for a bunch of bait. As far as I know, maybe I can sell it um for money if I want to, but I should hold on to it because you can trade them in. All right. Nice. Green plate. Yukumoku. Um, oh, obsidian, ear wax, mud. All right. Some of this stuff has got to be new. Cool. All right, let’s head back over to where we catch the wood skip. Believe it’s just in the uh in the forest over by Leah’s house. All right. Damn, the berries are plentiful. And I’m hoping that this ends up being strong enough. Yes. Here we go. The inner forest. Oh, damn. Okay. Slime. This is probably a good place to get hardwood. Oh, wow. I’ve got so many blackberries. These slimes are probably just living here without They probably don’t really intend to hurt me. Old master canoli. Still sw still searching for the sweetest taste. Um, one of these. I’m assuming I have to give him something in particular. All right. Give me a wood skip. Mhm. Even in this most like secluded of places, there’s still trash in the water. Enough of the crap, dude. Enough of the carp crap. I dropped frames again. It’s like every every like seven minutes I’ll drop frames for like a second. Ow. Okay, this one’s a little bit more active. Maybe it’s a wood skip. Yes. All right, we can get out of here now. Okay, those things do try to attack. So much for being peaceful. Yeah. I mean, I have no need for any more fishing experience. I never thought that I was going to get like of the sea. Oh, so that’s what grants you a skill. Okay. I grant you the ability to find that row. I see. Damn. This has been like making that caviar for a long time. All right. Or the aged row, I guess you could say. Stuff goes. All right. Everything else I think I should be good to sell. Salmon row trash. Hold on. Except for the wood skip. I need that. Go toss these in to the necessary bundles. Oh my god. I just Oh, god damn it. Spilled some of my water on my mouse. Should be okay. Think I think we’re all right. I actually won. So, my my keyboard’s kind of been on the fritz for a while. Um, I’ve had this keyboard I think since I want to say 2020. Crazy that that’s been five that was five years ago. Um, but what was I going to say? Oh, yeah. I won using Google Play sweep stakes. I won a new keyboard. It’s like an $150 keyboard. It’s It’s got like a little display on it. It should arrive tomorrow. It’ll be nice. Um, the problem is that it is a mechanical keyboard, which from what I understand will probably be a lot louder than my current keyboard. So, if I ever want to do more uh PC games, which I think I’m I mean I mean I’m in the middle of recording a PC game for a video. We have like weekly sessions for it. I don’t want to spoil what the game is, but um I do play keyboard and mouse on that. So hopefully it’s not too loud and it detracts from the audio quality. More times than not, I prefer to play on controller because it’s a lot more quiet. And it doesn’t help that my microphone Oh my god, I can’t believe I forgot that. It doesn’t help that my microphone also rests on my desk. So every vibration that’s felt in my desk is felt and heard in my microphone. Dish of the sea. Not a bad idea. All right. Sardine. Tuna. Okay. Looking for a buddy to bring me red mushroom. What are you doing with that with the mushroom, buddy? I guess I’ll accept. I should have made a good amount of money that today though, especially from all those blackberries. Even if they’re worth like like less than 100, I still found like 40 of them. Yeah, I don’t really I don’t really need those. They’re probably worth more to me in the in the box. What will it take for you to love me more? Damn, look at that. Nice. Blackberries. Yeah, they’re worth 25 each if they’re good quality, but even still on 50 of them. Don’t overwork yourself, dear. Make sure and take a break every now and then. Um or get something to eat. Sorry. Oh, damn. This one’s kind of biting me a little bit. Not used to that. Oh, okay. All right. So, the tiger trout are going to be a little bit more complicated to catch than say uh the salmon. Whoa. This feels like a tiger trout. Yep. How many do I have left? Four. All right, let’s try and knock it out today. I don’t know why I fully charge it. I don’t think it helps anything. I think it’s for if you just want to fish in a specific spot if there’s bubbles at the surface, but otherwise I don’t think it really matters that much. It just feels good to fill up the meter and then release it at the right time. Oh, it’s supposed to rain where I live tomorrow. I’m so excited. I hope it takes some of this heat away. Mhm. Wow, she actually walked by me this time instead of shoving me. I need one more. Nice. There we go. Oh, look at that. That’s a hefty chunk of change. Oh, and I get a prize ticket. I enclosed a blueprint from a science magazine that you might find interesting. Farm computer. ink cake. Did this in the uh the chest with next to the river jelly and the moss and the sap and the bombs. All right. What should we do today? We could start out by going down to the mines. I guess. Hello. So, let’s uh trade this stuff in. Then we can I don’t know, spend the rest of the day doing something else. I know I talked about I maybe I should do predictions for the Nintendo Direct. I mean, I hope it’s not too early in the morning. It’s definitely going to be early in the morning, but um yeah, my guess is probably like 7 central time. It’s not like direct has actually been announced yet. I’m just theorizing. If it’s going to be announced, it’ll be it’ll have to be announced tomorrow. Oh, can I really not cut through that? Did I just waste a bunch of energy for no reason? Oh, hello. Maybe you have something worth buying. Sunflower, albaore, ochoy, seeds. Bean, hot pot, beet seeds, cherry bomb omelette, cave carrot, mayonnaise, rare crow. That’s a kind of a cool scarecrow, but I don’t really want any of that stuff. It’s not It doesn’t none of it seems particularly important. All right, let’s spend the rest of our time fishing, I think. I don’t know how much money I made from those gems in the mine, but 25k would be really nice to end up with at the end of the stream. Those of you popping in, appreciate you. I think that would be fun because I do like to draw in my spare time and the Switch 2 version lets you use mouse controls. I think both versions actually let you use mouse controls. You just have to plug in a USB mouse your Switch. That could be fun. And just like draw stuff and make music and animations and stuff. That could be fun. I also definitely want to stream Street Fighter 6 before next week when Sagot comes out. I’m obviously going to stream when Sagot comes out, but I also want to I’ve been playing Cammy recently. I kind of want to do uh maybe just some casual matches on stream. Maybe some rank matches. I don’t know. But I am really excited for Sagot. I think Sagot will probably be my main going forward. I mean, I played Jury for a while. I think the first character I played in SF6 was Ken and then I learned Jury. And more recently, I’ve been playing Cammy on uh controller instead of on my fight stick or pad, I guess you could say. So, I’ve been playing Yeah. on my controller just cuz I think it’s more fun to kind of lay back in bed and play like a casual match or two before I go to bed, even though that [Â __Â ] stresses me out sometimes. But Street Fighter 6 really is shaping up to be one of my favorite games. It It really is. I think the visual fidelity is fantastic. Um, contrary to what a lot of people say, I think the soundtrack is pretty good. Um, I think the presentation overall is just fantastic and the gameplay is really fun too. And you know what what more can you really ask for out of a fighting game? I know that there’s um world tour mode, which I have played a decent bit of bit of. I don’t think I’m going to go through and beat the whole thing again on my Switch cuz I beat it the first time on PS5 back before I sold that. Um, all right. Maybe I’ll play. Let’s see. I’ve been streaming for about an hour and 17 minutes. I can stream for another in-game day or two. I definitely want to get this bundle finished off. Oh, look at these. Is this snail? Okay, it does go into the crab pot bundle. All right, let’s sell off these. Might as well throw it in there. I really have not focused much at all on the fishing bundle. Atrius see perhaps the nitrogen fixation level is affected by nematode secretion. Oh, sorry. I was pondering some data and I didn’t notice you there. Like the nematodes are fundamentally changing the chemical balance of the water. Is that what you’re implying? I don’t really know a whole lot about nematodes, even though I did study them in grad school briefly. H. Maybe I can find her cave. Carrot. Jesus, you snuck up on me. Oh my god. It would be nice to unlock the quarry cuz then I’d have a place that I can mine at without being at risk of, you know, being injured or dying. I forget. Is it the I know I know one of the bundles repairs the bridge. Let me see which greenhouse bridge repair. Okay, so I should get it as soon as winter starts which would be in about 20 days time, couple weeks. All right. Anything here worth selling? Most of it’s not. Most of it I should keep. I I don’t really feel any particular need to engage with this just because unless these sell for a good amount of money. Yeah, it’s not particularly necessary to engage with it. Is this really this? There’s no way this is the best weapon in the game. There’s definitely more. There’s definitely higher level weapons that I can get access to. Oh, did you see that? That fireball bounced off the damn wall. Hate that. Emily’s really not going to get her her cave carrot. A lot of the time I am just swimming in those things, but it’s like a desire sensor on a gotacha game where the game can tell which it’s I don’t even know if that’s real, but it’s a it’s a term that I’ve heard thrown around um when discussing gotacha games where the game can tell what exactly you’re trying to pull for in terms of the odds and it will just not give you it. It can tell by your like behavior when you’re choosing to roll for a certain character or whatever. And it’ll just deny you what it is you want. So to try and hopefully get you to spend money. Obviously, there’s nothing I can do in this game where I can spend money on it. It’s just blood, sweat, and tears. and time. Um, those diamonds. I should keep at least one of them if I get more than one. Oops. Nice. I can sell one of them, but the other one I should duplicate. All right, let’s head into town. Oh, fantastic. Oh, even better. Then the bus line to Stardw Valley is back in service. Oh, I’m so happy. All right. Who’s this guy? What? Bouncer remembers only kid now. Scram. Hey, I am 24 years old. Starfruit, cactus, rhubarb, a couch, clothes line with a lot of uh Ice Queen seasonal plant. That could be fun. Cactus seeds. Beet seeds. Nothing all that super interesting. I’m already growing an appropriate amount of crops. Can I trade for? Hold on. Wow. Maybe all that coal will come in handy someday. Um Let’s go. Let’s do a little fishing while we’re here. I got greedy. green algae. Algae will grow on sand. I mean, I guess that makes sense. It reminds me of So, there’s a video on my channel of us going to Wisconsin. We visited a state park called Devil’s Lake. And um I think I eventually did. I don’t know if I went swimming in it um the time because we’ve gone a couple times. Um I don’t think I went swimming the time we filmed the video, but uh I went swimming in it at least once. And the Yeah, the floor of that body of water at Devil’s Lake, I guess it is the Devil’s Lake. Um, it was like weird and squishy and sandy at the same time. I think it was just um algae covering sand, but it was a very bizarre experience to stand on. It it it is a sensory experience that I have not had replicated anywhere else. Yeah, I think it was I think it was a different time that we went. Um, it was just very, very bizarre. And I was, we had gotten lost, I think, the first time we went. So, I was just overheating and I needed to go swimming. And then, of course, in the video, I had like the fake blood on me. Um and I I walked around um with that fake blood on me. I walked around pretty much until we got back to where we parked um for like an hour just I and it started to peel off meth slowly. I still have that bottle of fake blood, by the way, in the event I ever want to use it again. But there were people walking by us and they were like, “Are you okay?” And I’m like, “Yeah, I just took a I just fell. H I would like to make another video like that again soon. It’s just it’s hard to find uh an occasion when we are all available to go on a multi-day trip like that since everyone’s working and whatnot. All right, I think we completed the exotic foraging bundle. Go. Perfect. I don’t know what I’m going to get for this, but hopefully it’s something nice. Autumn’s Bounty. Let’s just sell that. Right. It’s just uh yeah, it’s plus two foraging, plus two defense. Those temporary buffs aren’t super useful to me. I still have to trade in. Ah, I forgot to put the crab in there. All right, it’s fine. We’ll get another crab. So much lovely here at night than the garish glow of the city. Everything worked out perfectly for me. I’m very lucky. Oh, I did not notice that. I I probably just forgot. Nice. just spilled some water on my shirt. I I tend to wear my shirts until they’re pretty much threadbear. Um Oh [Â __Â ] Grange display. Oh god. I I I I uh I do not know about that. I did not know about that. Um thank you for reminding me. Uh, as I was saying, um, I developed some holes in my shirt pretty much right under my armpit. This is plural. Um, so I just ended up cutting off the sleeves on my shirt. This This shirt is really freaking old. Um, but I like having a another tank top adjacent shirt, I guess you could say. got a better challenge for you, kid. Make it at least 25 levels deep. I got a mountain of money uh to send if you can do it. Stardw Valley Fair is happening tomorrow. Don’t forget to bring your nine items for the grand display. Um okay. I don’t know why I’m picking all this stuff. I think I might be done streaming for the night. Um, anyway, I seriously appreciate everybody who dropped by. Um, these streams uh have been more pop more popular than my other streams by a decent margin. So, um, I’m glad that I am providing something that you find enjoyable um or that the algorithm seems to uh want to push out to you. Um, I don’t know what I’m going to stream next. I don’t know if I don’t think it’ll be tomorrow night. Um, I do have some other streams that I want to be doing uh this next week. Maybe a Mario Paint stream. But in any case, um, I hope you guys enjoyed. I have a great time streaming this game. It’s one of my favorite games. Um, I don’t know. it it’s probably in my top 25 favorite games. I wouldn’t say necessarily my top 10, but I do love this game a lot and I’m glad that uh you guys seem to get something out of it, too. Anyway, um I don’t know why I’m running around doing all this stuff. It’s going to get undone as soon as I quit. But yeah, I hope you have a good uh Wednesday tomorrow. I hope uh if you work or if you go to school, I hope uh it’s not too mentally taxing on you. And I will hopefully see you on a future stream um within the next week or so.
