Which Stardew Valley Farm Should You Choose? #stardewvalley #letsplaystardewvalley #gaming
Your very first choice in a new Stardew Valley save file is which farm type you’re going to play on. While you can beat the game on any of them, some are harder than others, and each one changes how you play. Also, did you know each farm has a different farmhouse interior? Today, I’m breaking down every farm type so you can decide which one to pick next time you start a farm. The standard farm is the most balanced and considered by many to be the best. It has 3,427 farmable tiles, the most in the game. If you’re all about crops and decorating, this one’s for you. The Riverland farm has the second least amount of farming space, but the entire layout is surrounded by rivers. That means easy access to river fish and sometimes even fish from the center forest right in your backyard. The forest farm focuses on foraging and hardwood. It has fewer spots for crops, but gives you eight hardwood stumps on the left side that regenerate daily. Great for crafting and late game buildings. The hilltop farm is for miners. You get a small quarry in the bottom left corner that spawns ores, geodess, artifact spots, and rocks. The farming area is awkward, but the early access to ores mix up for it. Wilderness farm used to be the only one where monsters could spawn at night, but now you can turn that on with the settings menu, making this farm kind of outdated. It’s still cool, but no longer unique. This one’s my personal favorite, the four corners farm. The four corners farm is split into four themed zones. Top right is the standard farm. Top left is the forest farm with one hardwood stump that responds daily. Bottom left is the Riverland farm with a pond that only has a 50% chance for cinder set fish. And the bottom right has a mini quarry. It’s great for organizing your layout or playing with friends and co-op. The beach farm is usually considered to be one of the harder maps. Most of the land cannot be farmed on and is similar to the Riverland farm where it’s made up of mostly water. You can however grab a lot of beach forageables and sometimes supply crates will wash up on the shore. The newest farm to be added was a Malands farm. Instead of starting with parsnip seeds on this farm, you start with 15 pieces of hay, a coupe, two chickens, and blue grass to feed on. Let me know in the comments which farm you usually pick and which one do you want to try next. [Music]

I normally do forest four corners or Meadowlands icant choose between those three
I love the riverland farm, i can catch some fish at the end of the day if i have some time and energy, plus i like the challenging layout
My personal favourites are
1. Meadowlands
2. Forest
3. Four Corners
Don't ever pick Riverland Farm or Hilltop Farm, they are just so bad. Any other farm it's at least decently playeable and have unique usefull things, but not those two.
And if you want the best farm, just play the Standart Farm.
Chicken farm lets you make early money, especially when you unlock the mayo maker
I just started my first game about a month ago and with no knowledge on the different farm types, I ended up choosing hilltop farm and funnily enough, mining is my favorite thing to do lol
I'm playing Extended right now on the Frontier farm. That one is pretty unique with it's own fast transport system but it is not an official farm.
With the base game farms, I kinda pick the farm that fits how I plan to play best. I did the Meadows farm for my pigfarm, the forest farm for mushroom farm, the Standard farm or 4 colours if I am going for wine (I have not run a just fishing farm since that sounds boring).
I started with the meadows farm! 😊
I love the forest farm because I need the extra forage
I personally strongly dislike the 4 corners farm (it's tied for bottom tier with riverland for my personal preferences) because it takes forever to get from one side of the farm to another (you HAVE to go through the middle most of the time) all but one pathway is blocked until you get better tools, plural (which also makes all the middle ground pretty much unuseable if you don't want it to block you/slow you down), there's just not very many good spots to place buildings that are reasonably close to the main house, and the various corner farm benefits are either good for the first season and quickly becomes obsolete (quarry, unless you really hate mining/are bad at fighting monsters) or just are literally never worthwhile (like the pond, which still has a 50% trash rate when a whole 20 seconds more walking gets you to the actual cindersap forest pond with much better fishing rates).
But hey, that's why we have a variety. Everyone can love something different and that's okay! 🙂
Also I think it's pointed out already but there was a huge mis-speak in the video– beach farm is actually one of the most farmable (second-most tillable tiles, only the standard farm has more) it's just that most of them don't allow for sprinklers. BUT it also has all the benefits of the forest farm (albeit with a few less stumps than forest farm but still more stumps than the one single stump 4 corners gets) and many, many places to plant things that don't need water (grass, sap trees, fruit trees) or that just need water nearby (rice, taro). But other than the misinformation on the beach farm, I appreciate the informative video ❤
My favorite is 4 corners
He forgot Hill-Top! It’s the best, and I see its best for organization and task management.😊
Seasonal Forage also spawns on the forest farm.
The most unique feature of the Wilderness farm is its the only place that can spawn Iridium Golems and Wilderness golems have a higher spawn rate than just checking the “Spawn Monsters on the farm” box on save file creation.
The Riverland farm starts with a free fish smoker and it’s the only farm map that can have fishing bubbles spawn.
Riverland Farm my beloved.
i love four corners i play with som guys i met on dis n i got the top left corner i dint know the stump regens daily
My first farm ever was the beach farm, I got pretty far on it. Now I am experimenting with each farm and my favorite is the forest farm. The forest farm with the bat cave is the most useful for min-maxing the community center.
Hilltop, I just love the look of it.
I usually go wilderness because i like fighting, and did not know that you could turn that on in the menu. So probably forest now.
I got the beach first without knowing anything about the game. There is a small area that you can place the sprinkles, so I use it. But I'm way more invested in foraging and mining, so I don't plant much.
I’m a crop slut so I’ll stay a generic lover
The beach farm can be farmed on. It just can’t be sprinkled.
I am in love with the meadowsland farm
