Solid advice but this really only works in your second year IF you hoard clay or play on the legacy code. It s hard to farm clay after the new code changes and I struggled to really get enough clay for my fields in the first year. But it’s not an issue if you didn’t go ham on your farm fields. Plus, I’m not even using fertilizer in my first year.
TLDR I have my routine down, just thought I’d share this for the experienced players that don’t know yet.
This is what I do after the first year to preserve fertilizer= Winter to spring > fiber seeds Spring to summer > coffee beans Summer to fall > wheat Fall to winter > fiber seeds
Usually after the first year, I’m not planting anything else after fall so the fiber seeds stay unharvested until spring comes around again. I usually do just cut down the coffee beans and wheat on the first day of the next season because they’re cheap and I have a lot of it already at this point in my farm. Also i usually complete the CC by my second year. You’ll need Ginger island for the fiber seeds.
Also none of this is for people who just started out playing SDV. So don’t come for me saying I’m min maxing too much or something. I have almost 800 hours in this game on my switch and pc combined. I have 2 perfected farms on my switch and 2 on my pc (with one that’s modded). I just started a recent one on the meadowlands farm on my switch. It’s weird but I still discover new tips about this game every time I play through a farm. I figured out this tip for the multi season crops only after playing through my 3rd perfected farm.
no, the worst thing about season changes is realizing that i meeded that one crop or foragable for the community center but i missed the window to get it and now i have to wait another year to get it

Ooooooo good idea!
I just… harvest all of the crops on the last day of the season insgead of petting them die.. like duh
I just started a new game! This is amazing. Cant wait for the community board.
I straight up forget fertilizer is a thing. I keep it in the same chest as my seeds but I just don't use it.

Loveeeee fiber seeds
It is suitable for decoration and provides a lot of fiber, which is really useful. useful short for builders or decorators!
Brilliant 🙂
My biggest problem is mixed seeds, i just don't have enough if them
"very craftable ingredients"
: shows clay
I don't get it?
Congrats you have unlocked Crop rotations
I never played not once
Willing to bet sipho stumbled upon this channel or will soon
Issue with fiber seeds: requires a TON of clay. A lot.
That’s an amazing tip. Love listening to your videos.
Stardew Valley players discover cover crops.
Love
Good tip but it's tilled not hoed.
Game changing over winter….. 👍
I am also an un-hoed mess
Now you're telling me this, like 1,000,000 hours of gaming too late.
Do the sprinklers water the corner plants too?
“unhoe’d mess”
Wait now grass patches stay even in winter? Can someone confirm this?
This is meant to be a relaxing farming sim, why the fuck am i expected to strategise everything
Two days before the season ends actually. They need a day to take root.

Such a waste of space 😅
