Snowball cannon is worse than any gun and arrows/bullets way easier to obtain (just buy tons at merchant/arms dealer). Life drain does not have a homing but a large attack area on your cursor. Single target damage is kinda bad and only good if your aim is very bad, but its multi target dps is quite good (one of the best choises for destroyer & you can melt it in seconds with right setup). The regeneration buff is not that useful since you're losing regeneration while attacking and moving anyway, but it's ok.
I used to use the bubble gun a lot pre 1.3 cause it was like a top 3 weapon alongside the typhoon and the blizzard staff, the DPS you got on that was insane.

I used the bubble gun and life drain in my mage playthrough and can confirm, very capable
i love the snow cannon on gfb – is a hardmode item now and shoots very fast, i used it for biome mimics and it did some solid damage
I use a corruption thrower shii I crafted after defeating the Hive Mind from Calamity, good stuff.

Here another weapon the paintball gun it really good but you need to kill the painter to get it so it can be a bit annoying

Zombie hand is good,but only for the EARLY,EARLY,EARLY,EARLY start of the game when your tools deal less than 10 damage.
The Bubble Gun might be even better since the Razorblade Typhoon was nerfed

I’ve been saying how the snowball cannon is slept on for years. You can get all the way to WOF with it very easily.

Dude the snowball cannon and the sand cannon are some of the most slept on weapons.
