    You know Kim, fossils in the prehistoric times do actually make sense. The dinosaurs existed for about 165 million years, and this wasn't one long consistent period; they evolved, old species died off, new ones took their place. Weather changed, the planet changed, species evolved; there were different time periods that spanned millions of years, and so if we did live during that time, we would possibly be able to find fossils from older time periods.
