How to get to Floor 100 Of Skull Cavern as a NORMAL Person in Stardew Valley

Hello everyone!

My name is Mrs Smuthy and in this video I show you how to get to floor 100 of Skull cavern so you can enjoy loads of iridium, complete Mr Qi’s quest, and, most importantly, have fun! This is done completely without cheats or using a thousand staircases. This means it is very attainable for anyone to try, no matter your experience in Stardew Valley.

This video is divided in two parts: Preparation for the dive (basically everything you need to do BEFORE you go to skull cavern) and tips for the actual mines (So, what to do there to make it easier to go as deep as possible). Here it is divided in chapters, for easier navigation:

C H A P T E R S!

0:00 Intro
1:19 Intro part two
2:27 Preparation aka before diving
11:15 Tips for the actual cavern
18:20 Outro

In this video you will find help and tips for every part of doing Skull Cavern dives; from food to take, to what tools to bring, how to obtain bombs, etc. It will also show you how to navigate the stress of being in the mines, and how to actually survive. So you can make it as deep as possible with lots of iridium.

If you want to see my personal attempts at doing this check out the livestream I did about it, it also has a run with better equipment:

Thank you so much for watching! I hope you are having a great day! 🌼

Much love…
M. S.

  1. Iridium! Just wanted to say that this video is very encouraging for me, as I'm dreading dealing with the skull cavern! And I wanted to show support for a growing channel! I watch a ton of Stardew Valley videos lately, and I assumed this was from someone with tons of subs! What I mean to say is that your video is very polished and you seem to have a great personality for this. Cheers and thanks for the iridium quality content!

  2. Al fin un vídeo realmente útil jejeje ando sufriendo con la caverna calavera. Siempre llego tarde y tardo mucho tratando de evitar los dragones. Lo aplicaré cuando vuelva a jugar 🎉❤
    Iridium❤

  3. Iridium! A fun mining tip is I like to have a little frog buddy with me (by equipping the frog egg trinket) to eat monsters. He can be a pain of you're going for a monster slaying goal or trying to get specific loot, but he's saved my hide a few times (and you can always quickly unequip the trinket)! Plus he's cute!

  4. If you can get the Statue of Perfection from Grandfather's grave, it produces 2-8 iridium ores per day. That's pretty much how I was able to upgrade my tools because Skull Cavern scared the snot outta me.
However, this video is very encouraging! Thank you for making it. 🙂

  5. Really useful guide.

I got to floor 120 in a day, I got 200 iridium and 5 prismatic shards.

I went with a max luck day
    Spicy eel
    Triple shot expresso
    Medium bombs around 60
Slingshot with explosive ammo, around 80 (it was surprisingly easy to use)
    Gold quality cheese.

  6. Toward the beginning of a game, winter year one, you can use winter seeds crafted from foraging for winter foragables. Make as many as you can find and when they grow, turn them into seeds again. Not only does that give you insane foraging xp, but once you can make them iridium quality, the crystal fruits give you 163hp and you can have hundreds by the end of the season. You can't plant much else, so might as well.

  7. I really thought this video was great. I have only gone into skull cavern a few times and was very discouraged each time. This video has some really useful tips that I am looking forward to using after my lunch! Thanks!

  8. Thank you!! I know there is a thing to be to him in Less then like 25 stairs and I can’t find any good videos about how to just run the caverns where they aren’t just slapping stairs down everywhere

  9. Hmmm I’m still at level 28 in my 3rd year, after getting the statue of perfection I lost the incentive to go further, now I’m basically retired in the farm with Emily

  11. Iridium! Underrated Youtuber. I subbed thanks to this tutorial. I can only get to floor 50 generally thanks to waiting for Pam and panicking with the controller. But this video helps. Thank you!

  12. Checked out the video yesterday, decided to go for a run today. I should have brought the coffee for the boost. I got to floor 76 and walked away with a bunch of materials. Passed out at 2am. Thanks for the upload.

  13. This is the first video of yours I stumbled upon. I recently got back in to Stardew and I’m a bit intimidated about tackling the skull cavern so I appreciate your guide on it! It’ll definitely help me farm iridium.

  14. A few tips I have before skull cavern is to have the price catalogue and house upgrade so you can easily tell which fish make the best sashimi, because sashimi was my best food before I got level 10 foraging. After that cactus fruit are great. Having a chest outside the skull cavern is really good too because your inventory fills up fast. Always leave tools you dont use for mining on your farm, and also, use bombs to kill mummies when you can, because mummies drop solar essence's and gold ore, both of which are used for mega bombs. Serpents drop void essence which is the last ingredient for mega bombs, so basically you can always craft more bombs while you are using bombs in the skull cavern. You can also duplicate jade with the crystalarium given by the community center.

  15. Iridium! I really appreciate you reminding us that we can play at our own pace. Some creators go so fast-it's overwhelming! Your voice and your presence is so soothing. Thank you <3
