WHY does the Guide’s name tell you where the Aether is?

I kinda wish the underwater tunnel that spawns in the ocean led to the aether.

hey, i really don't like that you used the robot slur at 1:10. i hate genai, but moreso i hate slurs and especially people trying find any justification for them. if you really didn't understand, then this is a learning moment. i'm glad you apologized, at least.

i don't see a good explanation for why the word is okay. it's used in the same exact manner as a slur, and generally people seem okay with that because the victim can't understand or stand up for themself. why does that make it okay?? it's still derogatory, discriminatory, and targeted hateful language.

justification just raises more questions about further justification. people are using this slur against people with prosthetics, and that's absolutely unacceptable. making excuses for why it's okay to use slurs just makes people use slurs more.

To find the shimmer, just dig down by the ocean on the opposite side of the world from the jungle.

Had plans for a game where knowledge of the seed and what it spawns was instrumental to success.

Knowing people document thia kinda stuff, reaffirms it coooould work.

There is a really good mod called Worldgen Viewer that shows you exactly how everything is made per pass.

actually I think that most devices now do have a source of true entropy (whether the high entropy output of the device's TPM [which is required for Windows 11] or a entorpic register on the CPU). The reason that games like terraria use a pseudo random source is because they want a pseudo random source.
Fun fact: 3d Terraria (aka Minecraft) versions before 1.16 also have this bug. And this bug should be super easy to fix, you just need to have the seeds for the generators' RNG be generated by a random source instead of using the same seed for all of the random sources …

IDK how threading works in Java (because I am largely a C++ developer) but it is possible to use a similar approach to this in a threaded context too (I know that it is because Minecraft's world gen is threaded)
