Halloween in general isn't what it used to be. I grew up in the early 90s and in my teens we used to go out until like 2am, come back with a wagon with pillowcases full of candy and a sugar high that lasted for weeks. Now it's lights out by 8pm and nobody decorates or dresses up anymore.
