You should definitely try shaders, it would make this build look even more incredible. As for the lighting rod, you could try building a fake Colombian of smoke out of white wool, concrete, quartz, etc and hid it in there, or you could turn it into a flag pole or an ornament on the roof. Anyways, I love the way you incorporated the nether and the overworking the same house!
