  1. 4:52 You actually can change your visual settings in the middle of a world, you just need to back out and enable YET ANOTHER setting tucked away in the 8th layer of the settings menu – a setting that isn't on by default btw despite it not affecting performance whatsoever.

  2. The memory leak issue was so devious bro I thought my gpu got fried so it's like that, I reinstalled the game so many times till I found the Minecraft Feedback Bug Report.

  3. Unfortunately, it's going to get a lot worse. Look what they did to Xbox and Halo. Microsoft is pushing very hard for their gaming division to generate more money for AI.

  4. considering how Bedrock is basically the main platform of the game at this point, it is full of intolerably bad bugs and malicious design choices that desperately need to be rectified

MAYBE if Bedrock edition was free, all the heavy handed microtransactions would be justified, but it is still a full $30 game; even if you consider how you get both versions included upon purchase, that is STILL $15 for both games where Java has such DRASTICALLY better QOL in comparison

no amount of marketplace customization integration or crossplay can justify the intolerable state of Bedrock

  5. The fact that Bedrock Editition FORCES the latest update on you makes it so I do not trust it at all. I don't even use much redstone or mob farms.

Then you can't import your world from Xbox to PC despite being the same game – the only way to do so is to upload your world to a Realm. Ome day they'll stop updating Java but they'll say "dom't worry, player authentification will remain functional" only to disable logging in entirely 5 years later.

Mark my words: one day the only way to play Minecraft Java will be via illegitimate copy of the game and launcher.

  6. it kills me that i cant play multiplayer minecraft with my son without buying a second computer. even with 2 switches on lan connection bedrock lags so aggressively its almost unplayable. not to mention how damn hard it is to get everything to work correctly.

  7. "Dear Mojang… Or Microsoft-" It's Micros*ft, they make the stupid choices in order to get richer. By just saying Mojang, people will target the devs instead of the corporation. Changing the title would be appreciated.

  8. This is why Java will always be superior.
I can already see them discontinuing Java support purely to make bedrock more popular to make more money
I will never play bedrock, but I will continue playing Java

  9. The death of bedrock edition would be a great thing – maybe it'd actually convince the devs to stop trying to make the clearly inferior version that feels like a crude knock-off of the original, into the "main game."

  10. i played pocket edition in 2015, i played legacy edition til bedrock edition, ive seen bedrock editions life. ive stuck with it for years, but then hit 5th of march when i started to actually play java edition outside of fucking abt with mods, made my forever world on there and ive never looked back icl, i still play on that world in java edition and im never gonna be on bedrock outside of playing with friends again

  11. I think that the only reason bedrock edition is the “main” version is because some people don’t have computers, I would be playing Java all the time but I can’t because I don’t have a good computer

  12. Never liked it bedrock just feels slower to me especially with the stuff like the crafting ui. Might just be me but I can craft so much quicker on java than I can with bedrock.

  13. Microsoft: we think Minecraft is really just for children!
Also Microsoft: we must use all the dark patterns to ensure the children make lots of purchases using money they don't have!

  14. As someone who has been playing minecraft since 2013 and i used to play java back in the day nowadays i play bedrock, only cause i don't have a pc (planning on saving for one next year) bedrock has been going down a slope for a few years now, sure content wise in the game i think it's in a great spot but bugs, micro transactions, no add server button for consoles we legit have to do a whole loophole just to join servers it's ridiculous tbh. i love minecraft but i hate bedrock i would never play it again likely if i had java. Bedrock is an absolute shit hole survival always has all sorts of bugs, texture packs are awful and don't get updated from what i've seen so you get messed up textures, marketplace is just a TON of copy and paste slop though there are some good ones to be fair. i mean hell even our settings are cooked tbh if you're a pvper sensitivity for controller isn't really fast enough for fast pace gamemodes like bedwars and stuff like that don't get me wrong i'm huge when it comes to pvp us controller players can most def be pretty sweaty i am myself but the movements we get on controller sense is just garbage compared to a mouse and keyboard, it's kinda hard to do things like block clutchs while falling off the map on bedwars and stuff like that. Also we don't even have a particle setting either which tbh i don't particularly need but it 's nice for old gen and older device players for things like fps.

  15. 3:00 That's one thing that constantly throws me off about bedrock's mobs. It's impossible to judge the distance to hit a mob or for it to hit you. In Java, I'd just use the sword indicator, and even then, the distance feels normal. But in bedrock, not only is there no indication if you can hit a mob, creepers always explode way before I think they're in range. I also get the impression there's no spawn limit in caves from the amount of mobs I've seen in a single room. Why is there 5 skeletons, 10 zombies, a witch, a slime, 3 spiders and 2 creepers in a single place, all ready to beat my ass?

  16. I've never liked Bedrock ever since it came out, I never liked how delayed it was, how the UI looked/felt while playing the game and as someone who was only on the playstation edition up until that point, I completely quit from that alone and stayed in Java, seeing it go this downhill does not surprise me, but it is saddening when it's the 'better' version of vanilla Minecraft that always gets pushed.

  17. 2:36 speaking of the cursor thing, apparently they fixed it in 1.21.122. This should've been fixed before 1.21.120 was released. I thought that was the purpose of the Preview? To solidify and polish everything? Did that change in recent years?

  18. unrelated bug but bedrock reset all my skins lately, meaning my custom one I made online I can no longer use since I lost the image file for it recently. Really annoying as I was able to play with my custom avatar last week, with it being gone randomly.

  19. So ive only played java… is Bedrock just mojangs pay to win game?? y was the table even posted by them… its just bennefits on Java side… and some arent even on bedrock!?!

I personally will never use bedrock.. im now giving my brothers minecraft java… because that… is ridiculous

  20. I started playing bedrock because I don't have access to my computer, just my switch, and I'm definitely not used to the controls, or the small screen, but it's not bad, still would like my main computer more.

  21. The reason I hardly play Java, is because all my friends have Nintendos to play Minecraft Bedrock, but only one of them doesn't have a computer because it broke 2 years ago, and it still hasn't been fixed, so we're stuck in this bumass version because of 1 person, we love him, but this needs to be resolved so we can play modded Java, and Peak.

  22. at this point using Minecraft Java ports/java emulators on mobile or Java edition in general is just better. I Play mainly on bedrock but GOD this just keeps becoming more terrible per update. (honestly unoptimized, plagued with monetization.)
And you can't play locally/LAN anymore starting past 1.16 (which is one of the greatest things on bedrock given you can play with friends on get go), with or without being signed on, Microsoft wont let you play and enforces you to have internet On The LAN, basically making it USELESS, when the point of it is being able to play LOCALLY.

  23. The fact that the UI/UX is specifically designed to prioritize non-confirmable accidental purchases as a higher priority than SAVING THE GAME should tell you everything you need to know

  24. Thank you for using your voice/platform to highlight the recent behaviour of Bedrock ❤ 6:50 I don’t agree with what you are saying here tho. If you justify their predatory pricing, your criticism of Mojang falls flat. Mojang is also on an exploitative market, with opportunities to push aggressive monetisation. So Mojang “would be an idiot not to take it”.

    IMPORTANT NOTE:
I am not too familiar with bedrock and everything relayed in this video. So I might have misunderstood what was argued in the first place. Either way this was only mentioned as constructive criticism. Keep up the good work!
