So I've played terraria before but never made it past the first couple bosses, I learned expert gives loot bags from bosses which makes them feel much more rewarding so I've been steadily struggling through that feeling like I've made good progress and having a good time.
Now i feel like ive hit a roadblock, as far as i know the only bosses i have left before progressing further is skeletron and the wall in the underworld but I wanna explore the dungeon before it inevitably becomes a bigger deathtrap than it already looks to be
I've shared my current weapons, armor and trinkets but im pretty sure I have some of the best gear for where in at now so maybe it's because I'm just kinda bad but any advice would be appreciated 😂🙏🏼

By making best ranged weapon before dungeon. You have good enough armor and built a platform. İf you care to learn as fast as possible learn crafting potions
I went with obsidian armor, snapthorn whip, and imp staff.
Made a small arena using the roof of the dungeon. Just some platforms with torches for visibility was fine. Campfire and Heart Lantern for extra regeneration. Small pool of honey to dip into before the fight and while the head wastes time spinning.
Combat basically consisted of moving in large circles and jumping out of the way of the hands when they tried to smack me. It also helped dodge the mini skulls by staying ahead of them.
Ironskin potions helped. So did featherfall, surprisingly.
Alternatively, the Meteor armor and the spacegun combo was also doable.
