I have no idea why but I'm not getting any huge crops and I tried everything. Plant them in 3×3 space, watered them daily and used the same kind of fertilizer. But either way they won't grow. I actually have no idea what I'm doing wrong

They generally only show up in larger planted areas.
I’m pretty sure it all comes down to luck. As long as the top left watermelon is fully grown and watered, there’s a 1% chance every day for them to become giant. Sometimes you’ll get lucky, sometimes you won’t 🤷🏻
It’s solely based on RNG, and the crop layout, which you already did
There’s a CHANCE they can become huge, it’s not certain.
If you planted a LOT, it’s very likely to happen *somewhere*, but two areas like you did, it’s a slim chance.
Every 3×3 area has a 1% chance, including overlapping areas. For the best chance make sure you are building in a large square. Breaking up your crops like you have is reducing your chances.
I’m going into year 10 and I’ve never had a giant crop in this file.
Do a larger area. Each 3×3 has a small chance of getting one. So, for example, if you plant a 4×4 area, there’s actually 4 different spots that are eligible for a possible giant spawn. 5×5 increases to 9 different spots where it can happen. So yeah, just do a big enough area and your chances to get one go up exponentially!
Assuming I’m counting right, you have 6 possible spots where you can get a giant melon. Which is barely any
If you want to get giant crops somewhere on your farm you need to plant a lot. If you want to get giant crops in a specific spot on your farm, you may have to wait years
Last two seasons, my crop didn’t get huge until the last day of the season. Weird, right?
3×3 is just fine. I found the trick is to leave them grown and keep ur fingers crossed. I have 3 currently
