Stone tools are easy to replace, and Leather armour is better than nothing, but life in the stone age has been tricky in places.
So far, I've gotten really lucky with the seed – I found a nearly complete portal near my cave, and another one a few mountains over with two obsidian in the chest. The only problem is the nearest lava source is quite far away, and I don't know if there's a more reliable way of starting a fire.
If you were doing a stone age challenge run, what do you think the hardest part would be? And, what sort of tricks might you use to make things easier?

If you continue exploring to find nether portals, perhaps you could find one with a chest that has a fire charge.
use straw blocks instead they fire more better
Kind of miss when fire would actually spread with some consistency in Minecraft. I also really miss the old old style where it would just fucking destroy entire forests
