What feels off/could be improved with my build? I’m not really a fan of the floor design or how the little ponds turned out. Something feels off and I don’t really know what to change, maybe the block pallet?

It's supposed to be the lobby of an aquarium, so I wanted to do a water/blue theme, but it feels a bit too evil/rustic.

    Roof is definitely too empty. Needs something hanging bits of glass or something.
    Maybe Add in some banners and look for some nice alternating patterns and place those on the pillars to break them up and add “happiness”. currently its mosty just kind of empty and bleak.

    Banners would definitely help though.

    I think it’s the dark colors that’s giving this feel. I would replace the blackstone bricks with quartz or pale oak and maybe change the warped planks to a brighter blue like prismarine? You can also use copper torches and lanterns for lighting instead of regular.

    looks super cool, my idea would be to replace the warped planks with something like red nether bricks or regular nether bricks, and then on the ceiling in that open area you could make a nice pattern using black glazed terracotta. i think that would look really cool. I just don’t like the color of warped planks in general.
