I'm surprised less people here are talking about this, but someone called Katie Scott has recently been hired as the "Head of Vanilla Minecraft". Normally, I'd welcome new developers to the team, but one look at her history on LinkedIn shows that she's worked in studios like EA and Ubisoft, with an apparent focus on monitization Furthermore, she's helped with games like Fifa and Rainbow Six Seige. That info alone is making me worried about the futire of Minecraft considering how high her position seems to be, but what do you guys think? Would she be a good addition to the team or am I right to worry?

What the hell happened to Jeb, i thought he was in charge??
we’re done for
this is the worst timeline
We need to protest this, we can’t let this go unchallenged.
Java bout to look like bedrock.
The next mob to be added will be the cash cow.Â
I have no issues if she actually unites Minecraft and enforcers quality development. Monetization is the wrong place you put your anger on
Minecraft already is shit with her in the team, the Game Will be more trash
About to make the jump completely to vintage story.

Hard to say. Mojang’s studio culture is very different from EA or Ubisoft’s, first of all, so that would have an impact. She also came through the design side of things, so it’s unclear how much is personal preference and how much is corporate requirements. We also do have to give Mojang the benefit of the doubt, it would be strange for them to hire someone unsuited to their culture.
On the other hand, yeah, that’s a portfolio with enough red flags to outfit a Chinese military parade. If things start going downhill we’ll have a hint of what happened.
