Once you hit the bottom of the mines, there’s a 1/2000 chance to get a prizzie from every monster you kill. So that’s pretty rare!

Any monster can drop one, if you’ve reached the bottom of the Mines. Reaching the bottom triggers a flag that adds a 0.05% chance of it dropping from ANY monster that didn’t already have it in their loot tables. I don’t know if this percentage is added to any that already had a different chance to drop Prismatic Shards, but at least you should know that reaching the bottom of the mines is how this happens.
