(I prefer the vid that way) 😭
I'm not a friend to anyone.
This is one of the funniest and most helpful tutorials I’ve ever seen for anything
The biggest tip I heard and use constantly is "Have multiple shapes, and don't make them symmetrical as a baseline."
A rectangle base? That's both not multiple shapes, AND is symmetrical as a baseline.
A semicircle and a rectangle together? That's multiple shapes. It's symmetrical, though. Push that rectangle over a few blocks so it's not in the center of the semicircle. It seems a bit unsupported that way — fix that by adding some rock shapes along the outer edge to make it feel more supported. BAM — good build.
A planet? That's a circle within another circle, multiple shapes. It's symmetrical, though. Add a little moon off to one side — no longer symmetrical. BAM — good build.
This makes building houses ezpz — I just do a box and put another box up and to the left, or a box with a box up and to the right, or three boxes, one big bottom box, one small up to the left, and one medium sized up and slightly to the right. Add stairs or platforms to reach them, add some structural supports, and BAM — good build.
Yeah, I learned how to build, but I didn't learn how to build, here's tips for learning how to not learn how to build… Stop demeaning yourself for no reason. Fym you ain't an artist? If you are one, then you are one, and there's no debating. You seem to do tons of this! Your circle looks fine dude.
What your saying is that you know how to make art, so it's not real art, do you hate yourself or something? I hate yourself rn, be nice to you!
what about if I want to make something like undeground?
spent 10 minutes looking at terraria builds on pinterest, finally talked to the painter npc, and now I make builds that I like more than the ones I see on the internet. can't say the same for minecraft that game has a cliff face disguised as a skill curve

Caveman
the naruto soundtrack hit me so hard
You should also add a money farm at the cavern layer to your base. (explanation: my base is underground)
an amazing tip that has dramatically improved my building skills is just.. make a main building world, and have a journey character with everything researched, just download one. Always have god mode on, enemy spawn rate to zero while building. Have a stack of night owl, builder, and mining potions to constantly quick buff,. so amazingly peaceful, you can fully focus on the process. Another thing that's helped me personally is just, if you've gotten to the point where you have a good amount done, but can't really focus and get yourself to continue for one reason or another, the most common thing is just that you're overthinking it, you don't want to ruin what you already have. Just keep going, I know it's uncomfortable to ignore that part in your brain but just kinda going with things is half the fun. Another thing, paint! know what blocks will look like when painted whatever. If you can approximate what blocks/walls can look similar when all painted the same color (or even when not the same color but thats a bit harder), you can make things blend that really have no business blending together. If you're not consistent with how you paint it can become a bit messy though so be careful. Learn and be intuitive about trying new techniques. If you don't like something, who cares? go back until you've gotten rid of the part that feels wrong, and try something else there. I'm not trying to say I'm super amazing at building now, but there's a clear huge difference in where I was with the buildings from the start of the world, and the ones I'm working on now. These are all things that just helped me personally and I think the most important thing overall for everyone is just.. try to be comfortable, have fun. enjoy yourself, it really does make a difference. also use tedit… lol
Song that starts at 2:28 ?
I'm not even playing Terraria right now, but thanks anyway o/
actuators are the goat until you have to decorate the inside of your build and you gotta tear down every actuated block ;-;
oh I think I get it, now! I think I get it!

that shit look like it's outta Starbound it's ICE bro
i dont like pinterest. not cause its for girls but cause it doesn't credit art
My biggest problem with videos like that is it is mainly possible witth late to endgame equpment.
You can't load a world with a fresh char and build like that.
That's it. I'm using my new 2026 world to start building again. NO MORE ABANDONED BUILDS! I CAN DO IT! the trick is knowing I suck so any decent looking build is a success ❤
whoa! this kid knows what he's doing……"No he don't" LOL!
3:55 sus
would love to see all of these builds aaaaaaaaaaaaa
I will keep making square or vaguely round wooden houses and there's nothing you can do about it sir
remember, it looks easy because he has endgame building equipment 🙁
Video was great! I doubt I will be able to up my design game because I am that far gone, but I appreciate the vid!
thanks for the inspiration homie
Great video 👍👍
One thing I like to do is a ruined tower with a surface level that holds mundane stuff and merchants, and a lower caves area that has the wizard and other weirder NPCs.
Not gonna lie, I said ew when you mentioned pinterest.
Wait, I'm an artist!
walks away
10:45 what background are you using there with the huge trees? Is it a mod?
That Overhang idea is so cool!!!! I was doing a more complicated version by digging into hills and stuff to live in a hobbit hole haha
One of my favorite things to do is to build terrariums. Little micro biomes. For example, building a snow globe using glass, snow and boreal wood. Stick a cabin inside and a tree or two and a snowman. Actuate the walls of the snow globe or use a wooden base with a door for access. Its very approachable as a project and has the added effect of creating a snowing effect in the background.
i can't stop laughing at the "when did you learn how to build…. you didn't"
3:01 You're completely right lol, I love Terraria, but it's hilarious how bad I am at this game 😂
"no you don't"
heres a good building tip: just place fucking whatever literally just do whatever the fuck you want and dont worry about it. i built a giant deformed circle
I forgot glass walls exist. I may go back and revamp my main base with them now.
wild, lmao
Is that naruto music i hear in the background?
7:27 Was that moan needed😭🙏?
I used to build pixel pokemon sprites statues in my world and my other friend’s world
Thank you for the tips, thanks to this video I’ve learned how to make my pokemon statues as a background so it wouldn’t be in the way of the map
Bro's gaslighting us into thinking we haven't learned how to build if we do this.
