Besides, what even counts as "feeling like Terraria's vibe." is it simply about the version of Terraria that gives you the most nostalgia? I don't like the character portraits for sure, but if the new crafting is optional then I don't mind. I agree that the new dungeon looks a bit more like modded terraria, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
If this is not bait, then this is the weirdest take about Terraria i heard in a while.

i do understand the concern but really i dont feel the dungeon and crafting is much of a concern as you can use the old crafting and see the old dungeon if youd like to. my main concern is not seeing any hint at any content past moonlord as thats always been an issue! Gaining the best weapons in the game with nothing to use them on. Just hoping theres a lot more than shown and because they are revamping the dungeon I hope they revamp the rest of the structures a little bit as that would make the dungeon feel less out of place because i copmpletely understand the point of it feeling a bit out of its place in the games vibe
