So I’m currently making a zoo on my Minecraft world right now and I’m having trouble on deciding if keeping certain mobs in here is moral or not.
The mobs I’m not sure of are
•Copper golems/Iron golems
•Allays
•Snow Golems
•Blazes
•Creepers
I’m also not sure about the guardians because they seem to be fish but in the Minecraft book the mobeastiary, their insides seems to look almost robotic so I’m kinda on the fence about them.

The whole concept of a zoo is an ethical dilemma in itself.
mobestiary is not canon it also depicts ghasts like that
Iron golems, snow golems, etc are constructs with no conscience. There is no ethical quandary with putting a golem in a zoo. That’s like putting a Nintendo in a display case.
Blazes and creepers are animals with little to no intelligence. Since they are fueled purely by hatred and malice there is no ethical issue with chucking them behind bars.
The only real question is allays. You have to decide for yourself if they truly have sentience and a conscience. If they do, then yes it would be unethical. If not, then feel free to put them on public display for all eyes to see.
well it’s a game so you can put whatever you want in a zoo
Guardians in a zoo would be no different to us putting a robot in a zoo, as they’re very heavily implied to be mechanical
If you’re not outright killing them, it is your moral obligation to make their accomodations as uncomfortable and unlivable as possible.
Fu** no
It’s a video game
They’re 1s and 0s bro
Unsure about the golems, its not explicitly stated but it seems like at least the Copper and Iron golems are sentient, since they understand what gifts are and do their own thing sometimes
Blazes might be mechanical or artificial since they sound like metal when hit and only come from spawners to my knowledge
Creepers are heavily implied to be a plant, not an animal
Allay’s/Vex’s might just be undead spirits or something similar
Guardians are a hard choice, since they seem to be living animals, but they don’t function like other mobs and also seem at least partially mechanical, implied by their laser eye and such
I don’t see how putting these in a zoo would be immoral but I may be interpreting your text wrong
they dont exist.
