acorns, maple seeds, pine cones don’t need to be watered, they will grow automatically. no trees need to be watered but some will have to placed in a specific way in order to grow(if that is the case it. will say so in the description of the seed)
You do not need to water acorns or tree seeds, but you do need to plant them with one empty square between each seed or they won't all grow. If you hit the seeds with a pick or axe before they sprout you can pick them back up and move them, but that will break sprouts.
It is a bit grindy, but as you upgrade your tools and level up your skills it will take less time to cut down trees and break rocks and you'll have more energy.
Oh also if you feel like restarting for an easier farm type, i would go with the meadowlands farm. You start with a chicken coop and more space to work with, and i think it's cool looking haha Its totally unnecessary though, you can absolutely still play with this farm its not going to be that difficult. that one just gives you a little headstart if you ever need it

If this is your first save, you picked the hardest farm to play
You ever heard of SawCon
one tip i have is to leave a space between your acorns because the trees will not grow if something is next to it in any direction

I would get a silo too, you can store hay in it and once you upgrade your coop the hay will automatically go into the feeding area!
Yotta build a chest sooner than later.
