  1. Automate. That being said, it is silly to refer to mod as “cheating” in a single player/coop game. Play how you like, the only opinions that matter are yours and the people you play with.

  2. I’ve got one that tells you the day’s mushroom levels. Like, without it, I would just stockpile cactus fruit or cheese or something, but still.

  3. I’m going to be so real, I straight up just cheat with some caveats. I always play as a little witch who studies magic as she goes– getting close to the wizard, Lance (SVE), Mateo (ES) etc etc. So when I reach eight hearts with any one of these characters, I decide that my character “earns” a cheat spell and I “unlock” it for myself .

Like switching the weather the next day, spawning in an item stack of my choice, or auto caring for animals.

  4. Auto water/auto tool swap for me

It feels very qol to walk up to a tree and automatically swap to my axe for example, but that also weirdly feels cheaty* lmao

  5. I actually went too far for it and had to tone it down. There’s this mod that adds tiered upgrades to all machines, but I found that they were TOO powerful in mid to late game–like, a single piece of hardwood becoming 30+ normal wood in a chipper, or a bone mill giving you tens of top-grade fertilizer regardless of whether you actually unlocked it or not. And upgrading a machine by a tier only costs, by default, a single bar of material.

It’s a neat idea, but the game’s just not designed for things to be *that* easy.
