As someone who's currently trying to build a realistic city, I've been really struggling with building modern buildings and skyscrapers.
Common Problems for me are:
-The lack of "modern" blocks and color variations.
-The lack of smaller blocks to detail outer facades.
-Minecraft glass makes glass skyscrapers look hollow and seethrough instead of reflecting or being darker in color.
I know there are many Texture Packs and Mods but I personally think they defeat the purpose. And they're also not available for everybody.
Minecraft is supposed to be creative and fun but not being able to build the stuff the way I'd like to is really demotivating and makes me wanna quit my projects.
What do you think about it and have you experienced something similar?

Play with RTX
just install shaders that have reflections on tinted glass
Minecraft is a mainly medieval-fantasy game. Of course there isn’t much for a modern, realistic style of building, that’s basically the complete opposite of what the game’s setting is.
Imo your best bet is to do your best with what you have at your disposal.
I mean, modern buildings *don’t have variation*… typically. It’s 100% possible to do convincing modern skyscrapers, but if you try to make them look more real, they look boring AF.
