No, the problem has and always will be bad parenting and the systemic issues that prevent parents from supervising their own children. We wouldn’t need these laws if parents had time to spend with their kids and actually gave a crap about important parts of their development, like information discernment and safe digital practices.
COPPA is just a hasty bandaid on a leaking pipe, and iD/Face Verification is just akin to throwing a brick at a brick wall trying to build on it.
