I am currently working on a fully automatic smelter which detects the items inside the smelter before sending the minecart. The issue is that the minecart only takes 7 blocks which decreases the smelter efficiency. I would need a system that let the minecart collect more items before going through the rails and since I don't know how to use detector rails or using comparators with minecarts I decided to ask for help here
