Just started playing and OMG WHAT CAN I GIVE THIS LONG HAIRED GORGEOUS MAN? He seems to hate all my gifts ðŸ˜
I’ve never been much of a gamer, but I thought Stardew Valley looked cute and downloaded it on a whim… and found out I could give people things today!
He likes vegetables, so you can give him parsnips. He loves pomegranates, so if you plant a pomegranate tree, it’ll take a month to grow but you’ll get a gift he loves every day in fall.Â
A lot of his loved/liked gifts are things that aren’t easy to get early on, but “neutral” gifts still get you a few friendship points, so you can give him any beach forage (except seaweed) for a small boost.

Get some ducks, he likes feathers. Put crab pots w bait in the ocean and hope for a lobster. If you have the fruit bats, he likes pomegranate. Plus check the trash bins, might get lucky

I load him up with blueberries, he likes them and I always have hundreds laying around after their first growing season

He loves duck feathers, for one thing.
Almost everybody likes artisan goods.
Penny, Jas and Vincent don’t like alcohol or a lot of pickled veggies, especially hops.

i usually ply him with duck feathers and the occasional lobster from the traps

Pomegranates – if you have fruit cave , crab cakes – Iridium crabs drop them, and sometimes Gus sells them at the saloon. + duck feathers (ducks), lobsters (crab pots), squid ink (monsters + squids) Tom Kha soup (probably the least useful, just cooking and random chance through vendors + trash)
Also, once you can get into his cabin, you can play music 🙂

I ain’t telling, ’cause that’s my man.
(But really, he’s a little tough in the beginning, but he loves duck feathers, squid ink, pomegranates, and lobsters.)

Go over to Google and search up Elliott SDV. They have a Wikipedia page that gives you loved, liked, disliked, and hated gifts along with heart events and the proper answers to select if you want more heart points. The wiki also gives you their schedule, if you manage to figure out how to read that God awful list let me know lol.
I always give him bait, he hates bait but refuses to move away from my crab pots. I’ll never be friends with this man.

Pomegranates, squid ink, lobster and duck feathers are some of the easiest.
Pomegranates: pick the fruit bat cave, grow pomegranate trees. Trees take a month to grow, so get one asap.
Also note that you can plant trees in your greenhouse corners outside your greenhouse field, ensuring that you get fruit constantly.
Squid ink: get fish ponds from Robin, catch a squid and put it in there. It will eventually give you squid ink fairly regularly.
Duck feathers: get a duck from Marnie. It will occasionally drop feathers as well as eggs.
Lobster: put crab pots in the ocean and harvest once a day.
His cooked food likes are Tom Kha soup and Crab cakes. Both require seafood, so again with the crab pots.
His liked gifts are octopus and squid. Both are difficult to catch. He also likes book, which you can dig up in treasure spots and other places.
He also likes most fruit.
Also saw that his neutral gift is rainbow shells and other beach foraging.
Note that he dislikes most foraged things (leeks, salmonberries, etc,), and really despises sea cucumbers, and milk products.
Most of his liked to loved gifts are difficult to get in year one. You may have to settle for a longer wooing period, and finding easier but less loved gifts to give him early on. He’s also difficult to get to dance with you at the flower festival your first year.

I pretty much ignore the NPCs until I can get cheese, and then I feed everyone but the kids, Sebastian and Harvey cheese until they all love me lol.

Most of Elliott’s best gifts aren’t accessible until year two, especially for a new player. Check the wiki and start planning. Elliotts gifts take some work, but he’s worth it.

He’s so rude about my beautiful gifts, it’s a major turn off. lol

Follow up question for anyone seeing this comment… is Shane worth pursuing? He’s so sad ðŸ˜

pomegranate, crab cakes, squid ink, topaz, diamonds, duck feathers, etc. what would a well defined man like? c:

He likes squid ink too. If you get to floor 90 I think, in the mines, the squid kids sometimes drop it
He’s got quite expensive loves, so you would be best sticking to his likes. The best love for regular gifting would probably be a duck feather or a pomegranate. For likes, your best bet is probably a vegetable, he eats that shit up.

The wiki has everything! It’s under the villagers tab. Elliot, my husband, loves pomegranates, feathers, crops, fruits, tom kha soup, lobster.
