I’m so used to Calamity and Fargos Souls where you can craft the Balloons but in vanilla you can’t catch me grinding for that. Temples are too tedious to find early game

I agree with most of this. But I feel like I just have to say that the Worm Scarf and Brain of Confusion are equally good in their own ways. Worm Scarf is great for higher difficulty when not fighting bosses, and the Brain of Confusion is great for boss fights mainly on any difficulty. I really just do not get the struggle between the worm scarf and boc, if someone cares that much about which is better, just play in a drunk world (or whichever one has both evil biomes)
Mage is absolutely the most fun tho it’s like lowkey cool how it never feels the same between two points in the game like Ranger or Melee might! Aside from like Magic Missile/Flamelash and a few others, no two weapons ever feel the same.
I do wish they’d buff it just a little tho 🙁 kind of sucks it never gets to be as cracked as the others
Worm scarf any day. As a melee main its very helpful and the crimson SUCKS corruption FOR LYFE. I can tell you play terraria alone because the bunch o balloons is goated. You have never had to wait for your friends to progress and wanted to get pre-hardmode wings and it shows.
Worm scarf stacks additively with other damage reduction buffs(endurence potion,frozen turtle shell/shield, turtle armor) so it value skyrocket if you're using those.
I have to disagree with the mage being the worst class. It can deal absurd damage, and the Spectre armor is just outright overpowered. Its healing made me 1st try moonlord with just 475 max HP (maybe its just because it was the last one i played idk). The uniqueness of the weapons too

1.4.5 on console is awful
Your right for prehardmode on mage but pre moon lord endgame mage has some of the highest dps only below melee
My hot take: master mode should have a higher drop rates than expert mode.
About the bundle of horseshoe balloons being too much effort for it to be worth it
