8 dollars? That’s quite cheap for a game like Minecraft! Did you buy an already used Minecraft account instead? (I assume you’re talking about USD because Minecraft costs $29.99 there)
It doesn’t matter how you answer it, but buying an already used account might have some risks, such as the owner reclaiming the account (the biggest risk).
If you don’t mind, we can play Minecraft together as well, since I also bought it recently but I have no friends. :/

My biggest suggestion would be to do creative so you can get used to the mechanics of using the different things such as crafting tables and finding out what blocks you like the most 🙂 then eventually do survival and explore your world. This game amazes me every day.
