I drew this for the anniversary as a thank you for this awesome game and community. I don’t usually post anything, but i really wanted to this time since this game means so much to me 😀
I got Stardew Valley when I was a child in 2016 or 2017 and achieved 100% perfection in 2021, then got all the steam achievements too. Everything I’ve done in the game has been a good reminder that you really can do alot of things if you just keep trying. I only learned the development story of the game in 2020 and it made me appreciate my favorite game even more. I can’t put into words how much this game has impacted and inspired me. Here’s some of my nostalgic memories I want to share 😀
Me and my sister found a funny bug, you had to eat sap and then keep pressing any of the walk buttons while the animation played, and the character would slide with one foot as long as you kept pressing. It looked really dumb and made a funny sound. It has been patched now but we used to do it alot xD
I accidentally named my cat “e” and couldn’t change it. Now that’s how I usually name my cat in other games.
We made a stupid “song” for the cutscene where wizard makes you drink the potion, it was just us repeating the words “leaves” and “trees” along with the music xD
I watched my sister play as she discovered the mines and all the different floor styles and it was like there was another world in there. It made me so interested I made my own save and now skullcavern runs are my favourite thing to do 😀
