Since 1.18, finding decent flat land has become pretty difficult. I miss having bigger and more common flat areas for building. Anyone else feel the same?
Yeah, especially when you want to build a sprawling city. The largest truly flat areas are barely the size of downtown. Or if you want to make large scale builds that 200+ wide good luck placing them without looking akward with ugly ass hills in the background. I wish there were continents where the biomes would stay the same but it would use a flater versions of them for building.

I wish we had more classic deserts. I don’t recall the last time I’ve even seen a desert biome. Everything is snow now

Yep. A flatland surrounded by jagged peaks is my dream spawn location. And I don’t want warm biomes near the 1000 block radius from spawn.

Yes. Caves and cliffs was a great update but the entire world has basically no flat land now. Even the plains biome is pretty much rolling hills.

yeah. I don’t really like spending half of my time carving out an area to build something but the better on bedrock mod makes the flat areas a bit less rare I think.

Hell yeah, flat areas ftw.

Wow I could put a sick dirt house smack dab in the middle of that

Before the terrain update, I used a few commands to teleport in a large grid around spawn to pre-generate a bunch of old terrain before updating my world.
I regret nothing.

If they’re difficult to find now then definitely yes, but in my experience I find decently sized flat areas a lot.

install mods like tectonic and terralith and play with the parameters of tectonic, with that i can get 300 blocks tall mountains but also large plain biomes in front of that
