

I’ve been experimenting with different texturing techniques for my new set of rock assets!
- Left: High detail / realistic. Looks great but might be "too busy" for actual building.
- Right: Cleaner / Vanilla-like vibe. More functional for bases, but is it too boring
Looking for some feedback on which styles people like more. Thanks in advance!

I feel like if you want it to look less important the one with less detail is better, but if you want it to be more a focal point of an area, make it more detailed.
Simpler, I get a lot of negative feedback when I say this, but I feel like there’s a lot more beauty in the structure, and raw form of a build, then the intricate texturing that goes into it.
A little bit of both is always necessary, but I think the more important aspect is structure alone.
