As a straight female irl I've never seen what the fuss was about Emily. I don't dislike her, I just don't see why a guy would pick her given the other options. I decided to play as a male to see if maybe she acts different with men. Unfortunately, Harolt turned out to be a true KING and thus needed a true queen. I have learned nothing about Emily. I say I've played 1000+ hours as a female, if I'm being honest it's probably closer to 1500+. No, I will not go outside. The grass will remain untouched.

The first time I played the game I thought Elliot was a girl who just had an immaculate jawline

  2. As a straight guy, I married Emily on my first playthrough almost exclusively to spite Clint. Abigail and Maru are much closer to my type.

  3. I first played this game when it came out and tried to romance Emily as I loved her instantly, though I couldn’t tell you why,, only to find I couldn’t. I then married Leah instead because she’s definitely the next best.

Years later, I ended up meeting, falling in love with, and marrying a woman who’s into spiritual energy, crystals, dreams, sewing, etc. Only thing she’s missing is the blue hair.

Funnily enough, if you had told me that was the girl I’d marry back then, I’d have called you nuts, did not realize that was apparently exactly my type.

As a bisexual, my first choice was to marry Emily because she gives off vibes of a Manic Pixie Dream Girl, and I love her for that

I misread your farmer’s name as “Harlot” when I first read the post title.. 😭

i’ve got plenty of reasons, personally. Everyone just has different tastes.
