EDIT – This is bedrock edition

I don't know if I'm not understanding how hoppers work, but when they're above something, do they not load the bottom container?

I tested with a normal chest, and it loaded it like normal. So it is just copper chests that it doesnt work with.

  2. I tested this in both Java and Bedrock. Having a hopper cart directly over a chest does not allow the cart to unload.

So I don’t know how you tested that you say on a normal chest it works. But from my test this is a completely normal behavior

  3. Any container in minecraft requires a actual hopper above it to pull items from a hopper minecart.

My apologies to everyone for i have gaslighted myself.. The other chest I tested on had a hopper underneath the chest that I completely forgot about, and was completely unnoticeable because of the floor pattern. Hopper mincarts DO NOT load into chests normally, I was gaslit by my own forgetfulness about the hopper underneath the chest. THANK YOU ALL for your information and for getting me to test it more to see that it wasn’t a bug!
