Is this a new feature? I use Clay as my floor and all of a sudden mushrooms appear on it
As you can see on my first picture there's 3 mushrooms on my floor out of nowhere (I placed 0 at all) when I went out to cut some trees and returned, there were 4 (2nd picture)

I don’t think mushrooms can appear out of nowhere. Are you playing with friends?
Either somebody placed those or it’s a mod
Probably somewhere nearby there is a mushroom, behind a wall, under floor or something. They just spread
Are there mushrooms on the other side of that wall? They can spread up and down diagonally to almost any solid block.
maybe it mistook it as a mushroom biome lol

enderman placed the first mushroom, and then it spreads to nearby blocks which is a real mechanic iirc
