You know i was dating both Harvey and Shane and hadn’t made up my mind. Until I found Shane passed out in the woods and had to take him to the clinic. Harvey took care of him and I realized in that moment….it was always Harvey.

In my first playthrough, I chose Alex because at the time he was the only decent-looking male to me (In my defense I was under 20). I loved his story and liked that he had special dialog when you date him as a male farmer.
In my second and third playthroughs, I went with Shane because I love feeling like I can fix people :’) I like his development but I’m always disappointed once we’re married that it feels like he went backwards.
If I end up starting a new game, I feel like I might romance Harvey, he’s actually so sweet. And maybe, just maybe, one day I’ll try romancing a girl. Probably Haley, her development is nice too.

I have the poly mod so I have multiple spouses, but my go tos are Shane, Emily, and Claire (SDV Extended). I like Shane because I can relate to him. I’m not an alcoholic (not even drinking age yet lol) but I understand his struggle with depression and life. I like Emily because she’s a very silly and compassionate person and Claire because she’s arguably the most down to earth of the SDV characters. I love that she wanted to be a ballerina, and that she’s just a regular person who hates her job and wanted to do something with her life but didn’t get the chance

penny is my favorite of the characters i’ve married she’s just so sweet and her moving to the farm and having a family is exactly what she wants from life so it doesn’t feel like she’s settling at all like our goals are perfectly aligned. her development from being shy to being more confident and bold with the bath house scene is so good. and !! her routine after getting married feels so balanced because she goes into town a few times a week to teach jas and vincent and she reads in her private garden once a week on the farm and she sometimes in the morning is standing in her library talking about how much she loves it and always dreamed of having one. what i really hope we get from 1.7 with the kids update is that our children get to go with her to the school days and maybe have other interactions with your spouse because i feel like it would add so much to her story especially.
also the strawberry decorations are so cute i’m obsessed with them bc i have a strawberry tattoo and my real apartment is covered in strawberry stuff lmao
